Exploration of linear and interpretable models for quantification of cell parameters via contactless short-wave infrared hyperspectral sensing
Published 2025-01-01“…The model achieves reasonable quantification performance for large fructose level (100–1000 mg/dL) quantification (r2 = 0.92, MAE = 25.1 mg/dL) and small fructose level (< 60 mg/dL) concentrations (r2 = 0.85, MAE = 4.97 mg/dL) in complex media like Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Finally, the model provides sparse interpretable weight matrices that hint at the underlying solution changes that correlate to each cell parameter prediction.…”

Human development II: We Need an Integrated Theory for Matter, Life and Consciousness to Understand Life and Healing
Published 2006-01-01“…We suggest that life utilizes an unseen fine structure of the physical energy of the universe at a subparticular or quantum level to give information-directed self-organization; we give a first sketch of a possible fractal structure of the energy able to both contain and communicate biological information and carry individual and collective consciousness. Finally, thorough our analysis, we put up a model for adult human metamorphosis.…”

Preparation of noninfectious scRNAseq samples from SARS-CoV-2-infected epithelial cells.
Published 2023-01-01“…We then tested the dissociation and methanol-acetone inactivation method on primary human lung epithelial cells that had been differentiated on an air-liquid interface. Finally, we performed scRNAseq quality control analysis on the resulting cell populations to evaluate the effects of our virus inactivation and sample preparation protocol on the quality of the cDNA produced. …”

Prophylactic norepinephrine infusion to treat hypotension after spinal anaesthesia during caesarean section: a meta-analysis
Published 2024-12-01“…The methods recommended by the Cochrane Handbook, Begge’s and Egger’s tests were used for risk of bias evaluation of the included literature. Results Nine studies were finally included in this study. The results showed that prophylactic administration of norepinephrine was superior to the control group in four aspects of treating hypotension after spinal anaesthesia in caesarean delivery: the incidence of hypotension was reduced [RR = 0.34, 95%CI (0.27–0.43), P < 0.01]; the incidence of severe hypotension was reduced [RR = 0.32, 95%CI (0.21–0.51), P < 0.01]; and maternal blood pressure was more stable with MDPE [MD = –5.00, 95%CI (–7.80–−2.21), P = 0.06] and MDAPE [MD = 4.11, 95%CI (1.38–6.85), P < 0.05], the incidence of nausea and vomiting was reduced [RR = 0.52, 95%CI (0.35–0.77), P < 0.01]. …”

Genetic insight into dissecting the immunophenotypes and inflammatory profiles in the pathogenesis of Sjogren syndrome
Published 2025-01-01“…A total of 4 inflammatory cytokines and 7 circulating proteins exhibited potential causal relationships with SS despite no significant result achieved after FDR correction. Finally, results of mediation analysis indicated that CD40L receptor levels had significant mediating effects (β = 0.0314, 95% CI: 0.0004–0.0624, P = 0.0471) at a mediation proportion of 28% (95% CI: 0.364%-55.6%) in causal relationship between CD27 on IgD + CD24 + B cell and SS. …”

In silico development of a multi-epitope-based vaccine against Burkholderia cepacia complex using reverse vaccinology
Published 2025-01-01“…Molecular docking analysis was performed to assess the interaction of the selected proteins. Finally, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations were conducted using GROMACS 2019 to evaluate the feasibility and dynamics of the interactions between the chimeric MEV and Toll-like receptor complexes, TLR2 and TLR4.ResultsOf 16,723 proteins identified in B. multivorans and B. cenocepacia strains, nine proteins (six OMPs and three extracellular) were selected as ideal candidates based on established criteria. …”

The Effect of Lithium on Inflammation-Associated Genes in Lipopolysaccharide-Activated Raw 264.7 Macrophages
Published 2020-01-01“…Lithium has been shown to lower the production of the chemokine RANTES; furthermore, this inhibitory action of lithium has been suggested to be independent of glycogen synthase kinase-3 β (GSK3β) activity. It is shown here that lithium modulates the expression of several inflammatory genes including IκB-α, TRAF3, Tollip, and NF-κB1/p50 which are regulators of the NF-κB pathway. …”

Published 2025-06-01“…The present study provides new insights that were not previously fully captured or assessed in other reviews. Finally, improving livestock production sustainability is particularly important, because a significant part of the projected increases in the global food demand is expected to come from livestock, and artificial intelligence will certainly help producers in decision-making processes, mainly in times of climate change.…”
