Multi-scenario analysis of green water resource efficiency under carbon emission constraints in the Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration, China: A system dynamics approach by Keyao Yu, Zhigang Li

    Published 2025-02-01
“…The study finds that: (1) GWRE in the CCUA from 2005 to 2021 has shown a fluctuating upward trend, with the kernel density curve shifting from “short and wide” to “tall and narrow” and the peak moving to the right, indicating a gradual narrowing of GWRE disparities. (2) Model run tests and historical tests on the GWRE system demonstrate that the relative errors between the model’s predictions and actual outcomes are within 5%, confirming the model’s stability and effectiveness. (3) The green innovation and comprehensive development scenarios yield the best outcomes in terms of GWRE and carbon emission control from 2022 to 2035, reflecting the coordinated development of the economy, environment, and society. Finally, this study provides policy implications to enhance technological innovation, optimize industrial structures, and strengthen water ecosystem protection, offering theoretical and policy insights for sustainable development in the CCUA and similar regions.…”

Application of Clustering and Stepwise Discriminant Analysis Based on Hydrochemical Characteristics in Determining the Source of Mine Water Inrush by Weitao Liu, Jie Yu, Jianjun Shen, Qiushuang Zheng, Mengke Han, Yingying Hu, Xiangxi Meng

    Published 2021-01-01
“…The results showed that the combination of HCA and hydrochemical analysis was more effective in screening water samples, and the 3 clustering groups could be qualified samples to represent 3 major aquifers (Taiyuan Formation limestone aquifer, Shanxi Formation sandstone aquifer and Ordovician limestone aquifer). Finally, taking M1, M2 and M3 as grouping variables, the discriminant functions f1, f2 and f3 of the 3 aquifers were obtained, the results of stepwise discrimination analysis (SDA) showed that the discrimination model established by using 25 groups of standard water samples could discriminate the known water samples with the correct rate of 96%, 10 groups of unknown water samples collected at the fault are identified as Taiyuan Formation limestone water samples, which was consistent with the classification results of HCA, proving that the water inrush of fault DF53 was from Taiyuan Formation limestone aquifer, while the fault had little influence on Ordovician limestone aquifer.…”
