Current Evidence for the Use of Smoflipid® Emulsion in Critical Care Patients for Parenteral Nutrition
Published 2018-01-01“…The reported roles of this supplementation include positive immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effects, positive impact in liver function, reduction of hospital stay, and nosocomial infections as additional contributions to its energetic role, which in many cases results in reduced total costs per patient. Finally, many authors propose that the use of Smoflipid® should become a gold standard of parenteral nutrition in intensive unit care patients and that the costs associated with this supplement should not be limiting for its use, not only to improve the clinical outcome but also to reduce the treatment costs.…”

Simulation and Formation Mechanisms of Urban Landscape Design Based on Discrete Dynamic Models Driven by Big Data
Published 2022-01-01“…In this article, during the research process, we strive to raise the revelation of the design layer rather than the brand new level of cross-fertilization and interaction between big data-driven discrete dynamic model and urban landscape design; we also reveal how the benefits of promoting urban development and harmonious life are achieved in the interactive expression of the urban landscape after the application of the big data-driven discrete dynamic model, which provides designers and related professionals with more detailed and novel design ideas at the theoretical level and makes the theory of big data-driven discrete dynamic models in landscape design interactive methods more enriched. Finally, this article puts forward its thinking and outlook on the design of the big data-driven discrete dynamic model in the interactivity of urban landscape design, hoping that artists will strengthen its functional and material design elements when creating performance. …”

Prediction of shallow bit position based on vibration signal monitoring of bit broken rock
Published 2021-01-01“…Through the wavelet energy coefficient calculated by the model, combined with the mean, variance, and mean square error of time-domain signal, the position of shallow buried bit can be analyzed and predicted. Finally, by fitting the results of indoor experiment and simulation experiment, it can be seen that the stress–strain curve of rock failure is basically the same, and the error is about 3.5%, which verifies the accuracy of the model.…”

Positive Education in the United Arab Emirates: Navigating Through and Beyond the Global Pandemic
Published 2023-01-01“…We conclude by recommending a whole school approach to PE that includes family members since the pandemic revealed that when students are engaged in remote learning or otherwise not face-to-face at school, it is critical that parents/families can support youth who may be struggling. Finally, we note the need for school-based support, like PE, to engender student resiliency. …”

Exploring the Influence of Lateral Conductivity Contrasts on the Storm Time Behavior of the Ground Electric Field in the Eastern United States
Published 2020-03-01“…This result is of special importance since the computation of GICs relies on integrals of the GEF (voltages), but not on the GEF itself. Finally, we compare the GEF induced by a laterally varying (MHD) source with that calculated using the plane wave approximation and show that the difference is perceptible even in the regions that are commonly considered to be negligibly affected by lateral nonuniformity of the source. …”
