Stability of Impulsive Neural Networks with Time-Varying and Distributed Delays by Qi Luo, Xinjie Miao, Qian Wei, Zhengxin Zhou

    Published 2013-01-01
“…We use the new method of fixed point theory to obtain some new and concise sufficient conditions to ensure the existence and uniqueness of solution and the global exponential stability of trivial equilibrium. The presented algebraic criteria are easily checked and do not require the differentiability of delays.…”

A PLEA FOR LEADERSHIP THEORIES by V. Kessler

    Published 2021-06-01
“…I then argue, first, that leadership theory is needed, because real leadership is non-trivial and, secondly, that we need to teach more than one leadership theory, in order to encourage critical thinking. …”

Using Coloured Petri Nets for Evaluating the Power Consumption of Wireless Sensor Networks by Antônio Dâmaso, Nelson Rosa, Paulo Maciel

    Published 2014-06-01
“…However, to evaluate the lifetime of a WSN is not a trivial task due to the complexity of reproducing the environment, inherent dynamism, and complexity and size of WSNs. …”

Adaptive federated learning secure aggregation scheme based on threshold homomorphic encryption by Zhuo MA, Jiayu JIN, Yilong YANG, Yang LIU, Zuobin YING, Teng LI, Junwei ZHANG

    Published 2023-07-01
“…Aiming at the communication bottleneck problem when the current federated learning security aggregation algorithm was applied in a complex network environment, an adaptive federated learning secure aggregation scheme based on threshold homomorphic encryption was proposed. While protecting gradient privacy, users adaptively compress gradients based on the current available bandwidth, greatly reduced communication overhead for federated users.Furthermore, the new dynamic decryption task distribution algorithm and gradient combination algorithm were designed in the phase of aggregation gradient decryption, which relieved the user’s uplink communication pressure. The experimental results show that the proposed scheme can sharply reduce the amount of communication to 4% compared with the existing federated learning scheme with a trivial model accuracy loss of 1%.…”

O inadmissível roubo da carta de alforria do nagô Pedro Allgayer: a escravidão em uma zona de imigração alemã (RS, séc. XIX) by Paulo Roberto Staudt Moreira, Miquéias Henrique Mugge

    Published 2013-01-01
“…Manipulating documents and sources and seeking theoretical-methodological support in Italian micro-history, we aspire to discuss these precepts in this article. Starting from a trivial case portrayed in a legal document, our goal is to make this case study an efficient observatory that shows the slave society in the German colony of São Leopoldo in the eighteen hundreds.…”

Free Vibration of a Fluid-Filled Circular Cylindrical Shell with Lumped Masses Attached, Using the Receptance Method by Marco Amabili

    Published 1996-01-01
“…Numerical results are obtained as roots of the frequency equation and also by considering the trivial solution. They are compared to data obtained by experimental modal analysis performed on a stainless steel tank, empty, or filled with water, with a lead mass attached.…”
