Higher Orbital Integrals, Cyclic Cocycles and Noncommutative Geometry by Yanli Song, Xiang Tang

    Published 2025-01-01
“…We introduce a construction of higher orbital integrals in the direction of higher cyclic cocycles on the Harish-Chandra Schwartz algebra of G. We analyze these higher orbital integrals via Fourier transform by expressing them as integrals on the tempered dual of G. …”

Multipurpose Moxibustion Combined with Comprehensive Rehabilitation Training on Postoperation of Difficult Meningioma: A Case Report by Xiaoyan HUANG, Guifang WAN, Zulin DOU, Changcheng XU, Meng DAI, Luyu ZHAO, Xin LI, Jin ZHANG

    Published 2018-02-01
“…Objective:To investigate the effect of multipurpose moxibustion combined with comprehensive rehabilitation training for a postoperative difficult meningioma patient. Methods:After applying traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) diagnostic protocol of looking, listening, asking and feeling the pulse in TCM to analyze the tumor patient's TCM syndrome types, we used different moxibustion in stages for treatment such as umbilical moxibustion, thunder-fire moxibustion, little grain moxibustion combined with comprehensive rehabilitation training such as speech and swallow training, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation training, physical therapy, occupation therapy. Results:After 10 months of treatment, the patient was successfully removed four tubes (urine tube, gas cut sleeve, nasal tube, and deep venous catheter). Conclusion:The multipurpose moxibustion combined with comprehensive rehabilitation training has remarkable curative effect on postoperation of difficult meningioma, but it is necessary to carry out case accumulation and systematic evaluation of efficacy.…”

Do gravel highways affect water quality and invertebrate communities in Arctic lakes? by Madeline E. Patenall, Natasha M. Hannan, Vivian Gao, Homa Kheyrollah Pour, Derek K. Gray

    Published 2024-12-01
“…We collected biological and water quality data from 18 lakes selected using a stratified random sampling design, with distance from the road (0–300 m, 300–600 m, and >600 m) and region of study (boreal forest, tundra) as the two factors. We hypothesized that lakes closer to the road would exhibit differences in water quality and invertebrate communities associated with road dust pollution and other stressors caused by roads. …”
