Effect of Solvents on the Adsorption Properties of Benzo[α]pyrene-imprinted Polymers by Bhagyashree Bhagat, Reddithota J. Krupadam

    Published 2010-01-01
“…In order to complement the experimental observations, HyperChem software-based computer simulations were used to calculate the interaction energy between B[α]P and the functional monomer (methacrylic acid) in different solvents. The theoretical predictions correlated well with the experimental results and the method proposed in this study could be useful in the combinatorial screening of polymer precursors for the preparation of polymers with the desired properties. …”

Study on an effective integrated model of Ka-band mobile satellite channel by Juan WEI, Da LIU, Gang-qi TIAN

    Published 2012-11-01
“…In order to describe the Ka-band mobile satellite communications channel fading features more realitically,a mobile satellite integrated channel model was proposed. The characteristics of the mobile satellite propogation channel were analysed in detail.Weather conditions,as well as multi-path fading and shadowing were taken into account as main influencing factors. On this basis, airspace channel model was built obeying the Gaussian distribution as well ground surface, which obey Rice,Rayleigh and Lognormal joint distribution. Then the integrated channel model was presented considering weather effects on condition that the two parts are independent each other in the influence of the channel characteristics. The mathematical analysis model and simulation model of the new integrated channel model were established respectively. Finally, the BER(bit error rate)performance was analyzed for different weather conditions and shadows.Compared with the theoretical BER,the integrated channel model in satellite mobile communication systems is correct and reasonable.…”

Blind spectrum sensing based on goodness of fit test for cognitive radio in noise of uncertain power by Lei SHEN, Hai-quan WANG, Zhi-jin ZHAO, Min-hong SUN

    Published 2011-11-01
“…Based on t-distribution and Anderson-Darling test, the first,a method was proposed of spectrum sensing under assumptions that the noise variance was unknown and also the channel information was unknown.Indeed, the sensing was conducted based on Anderson-Darling distance between the distribution of ratio of sample’s mean to sample’s variance and the t-distribution.The second, another sensing method was proposed, under the same assumptions as the above, based on Anderson-Darling distance between the empirical characteristic function and a known characteristic function. The third, lower bounds on detection probabilities of sensings above were given for a flat, slow fading channel.Theoretical analysis and simulations show that the performances of proposed methods are much better than energy detector-based sensing with known noise variance, especially under an environment of a low signal to noise ration(SNR),or small number of samples.…”

Modeling and performance analysis of train communication network based on switched ethernet by Yu-zhuo ZHANG, Yuan CAO, Ying-hong WEN

    Published 2015-09-01
“…In order to meet the information transmission requirements of large capacity, high speed and hard real-time in the future, switched ethernet was introduced to the train communication network (TCN).Messages of different priorities was investigated, and established the TCN transmission process model with determined and stochastic Petri nets (DSPN) in accordance to its communication scheduling mechanism. The influences of different switch scheduling algorithms to the delay were compared, and the relationships between throughput and message number, throughout and generating cy-cle were respectively investigated. The experimental results show that the priority scheduling algorithm can reduce the delay of real-time data under the condition of sacrificing non real-time data's delay. It also verify the throughput of TCN based on switched ethernet is much higher than that of the existing TCN,which can provide theoretical basis for the de-sign and optimization in the future.…”

A critical analysis of the Mises stress criterion used in frequency domain fatigue life prediction by Adam Nieslony

    Published 2016-10-01
“…Therefore the direct use of equivalent von Mises stress criterion for fatigue life prediction can lead to some incorrectness of theoretical and practical nature. In the present study four aspects were discussed: influence of the value of fatigue strength of tension and torsion, lack of parallelism of the SN curves, abnormal behaviour of the criterion under biaxial tensioncompression and influence of phase shift between particular stress state components. …”

    Published 2023-01-01
“…The communication network is an essential component of the data acquisition and information transmission in power Internet of things (IoT).To meet the development requirements of multiple power service in the future, the wireless communication technique with flexible-access and high scalability is one of the development directions for power IoT.Due to the features of large-scale access, random access time, high security and reliability for information transmission of power IoT, a frequency-hopping (FH) technique with low-hit rate for random access was proposed. The construction algorithm of such FH pattern was based upon the combination and shift operation of conventional FH sequences.By the theoretical arithmetic and numerical simulation, the properties of the proposed FH pattern and the error-rate of the FH-based power IoT were evaluated. The analysis reveals that the new class of FH sequences and the system can meet the requirements of large-scale access and highly reliable communication for the power IoT, which has good application prospects.…”

Continuous noise covert transmission scheme based on QCSK by Ying HUANG, Zehan WAN, Jing LEI, Ke LAI

    Published 2022-04-01
“…The existing embedded scheme requires far lower transmission power of the covert system than that of the host system, and thus decreasing the reliability of covert transmission. To figure out the above limitations, a continuous noise covert communication scheme based on quadrature chaos shift keying (QCSK) was proposed. The QCSK signal containing covert information and artificial noise were transmitted alternately, and the illegal energy detection was effectively resisted by the continuity of noise which has strong concealment in both time and frequency domains.Furthermore, extremely low power was not required to meet the demand of convert communication in QCSK, whereas allowing the increase of transmit power under the condition that the performance of the host system to improve the performance of covert transmission.Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the bit error rate (BER) of covert transmission brings two orders of magnitude improvement compared with the existing scheme at BER=1×10-7 for host system.…”
