Low-complexity optimal MPSK detection for spatial modulation
Published 2015-08-01“…The low-complexity optimal SM detection algorithm for MQAM signal detection had been proposed, but no similar method was found for MPSK signal. The problem of low-complexity detection for MPSK signal was considered in SM systems.Utilizing 2-D vector quantization of ML demodulation and the property of MPSK constellation,a low-complexity optimal detection which is independent to modulation order was developed.Since the approach avoids the exhaustive searching on signal constellation space, the computational complexity can be significantly reduced. The proposed detection algorithm can provide the identical performance with ML-optimum detector and has lower computational complexity. Therefore,it has both theoretical and practical significance. The proposed algorithm is of great significance in the large antenna and green communication technology.…”

Congestion-Aware Signaling Aggregation and Barring Scheme for LTE Based Machine-to-Machine Network
Published 2015-10-01“…With LTE network being the example access network, a congestion-aware signaling aggregation and barring scheme is designed considering the various requirements of M2M services and the congestion situation in the network entity. Theoretical analysis and experimental simulations show that this scheme can improve the system efficiency and greatly alleviate the signaling congestion, especially for the bursty M2M service.…”

Data stream prediction based on rule antecedent occurrence tree matching
Published 2017-12-01“…There are some shortages in the existing rule-based data stream prediction algorithm, such as inaccurate definition of antecedent occurrence, ignoring the correlation between rules and imprecise description of prediction accuracy. These make low forecasting process efficiency and low prediction accuracy. The superposed prediction algorithm was proposed based on antecedent occurrence tree, and interval minimal non-overlapping occurrence was defined to avoid the problem of excessive matching antecedent. The efficiency was improved for searching antecedent’s occurrence by merging rule’s antecedents in antecedent occurrence tree, and the succedent occurrence based on superposed probability was predicted to enhance prediction accuracy. The theoretical analysis and experimental evaluation demonstrate the algorithm is superior to the existing prediction algorithms in terms of time and space efficiency and prediction accuracy.…”

Broadband receiver of narrowband signal based on the cascaded stochastic resonance
Published 2015-07-01“…To improve the demodulation gain of traditional narrowband receiver,a narrowband signal receiving method of broadband based on cascaded stochastic resonance is proposed. On one hand, the noise in the signal is converted to the signal energy by the stochastic resonance operation on the received signal. On the other hand,by cascading stochastic resonance systems, the received signal is changed into square wave signal; and by constructing related sequences with prior information of received signal, the demodulation output has high gain.Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that compared with the traditional approach, this method improves detection performance in terms of SNR by more than 3 dB.And for receiving SNR of QPSK in −7~1 dB,the gain increased is about 20 dB.…”

TDMA-based user scheduling policies for federated learning
Published 2021-06-01“…To improve the communication efficiency in FL (federated learning), for the scenario with heterogeneous edge user's computing capacity and channel state, a class of time division multiple access (TDMA) based user scheduling policies were proposed for FL.The proposed policies aim to minimize the system delay in each round of model training subject to a given sample size constraint required for computing in each round. In addition, the convergence rate of the proposed scheduling algorithms was analyzed from a theoretical perspective to study the tradeoff between the convergence performance and the total system delay. The selection of the optimal batch size was further analyzed.Simulation results show that the convergence rate of the proposed algorithm is at least 30% higher than all the considered benchmarks.…”
