Optimizing bioethanol production from sweet sorghum stem juice under very high gravity fermentation and temperature stress conditions
Published 2025-03-01“…This study optimized ethanol production from sweet sorghum stem juice (SSJ) by Saccharomyces cerevisiae NP01 under very high gravity (VHG) fermentation in 500-mL air–locked flasks at 30 °C. Response surface methodology based on a Box-Behnken design was employed to optimize initial sugar (267 g/L), urea (3.24 g/L), and cell concentration (1.32 × 108 cells/mL) for maximization of ethanol concentration (PE), productivity (QP), and sugar consumption (%SC). …”

Effects of initial soil moisture on rill erodibility and critical shear stress factors in the WEPP model across diverse soil types
Published 2025-03-01“…Through laboratory experiments employing a small V-shaped rill channel, we investigated rill erodibility (Kr) and critical hydraulic shear stress (τcr), under three soil moisture scenarios: initially dry, saturated, and drainage, with incremental surface inflow rates. Additionally, we examined the efficiency of soil cohesion obtained from an Automated Soil Cohesion Measurement Apparatus in predicting Kr and τcr across various soil textures. …”

Study on Change of Landscape Pattern Characteristics of Comprehensive Land Improvement Based on Optimal Spatial Scale
Published 2025-01-01“…This scale can reflect the spatial variability of the landscape pattern in the study area and is the most suitable analysis range. (3) The fragmentation degree of paddy fields as landscape matrix decreased and the landscape dominance degree increased in the comprehensive land improvement; the degree of fragmentation of irrigated land and agricultural land for facilities increased, the aggregation of land for construction increased, the dominance degree of the pond surface decreased, and the overall landscape diversity of each mosaic decreased; the landscape heterogeneity of ditches, rural roads, forest and grassland corridors was weakened, and the ecosystem service function was weakened. (4) The trend of increased fragmentation, simplification of landscape types, and decreased diversity presented by the landscape pattern clearly indicates that the landscape pattern of the study area has been seriously damaged to some extent under the influence of human activities. …”

A liquid chromatography-high-resolution mass spectrometry method for separation and identification of hemoglobin variant subunits with mass shifts less than 1 Da
Published 2025-01-01“…A common issue with conventional methods for identifying Hb variants is their subpar ability to provide structural breakdowns of the variants. Reports have surfaced of high-resolution mass spectrometry (HR-MS) methods that improve on traditional methods; however, ambiguities may arise without separation of Hb subunits prior to HR-MS analysis. …”
