Effects of Volatile Components on Mixing State and Size Distribution of Individual Black Carbon Aerosols
Published 2022-03-01“…However, several low-volatile non-BC substances remained, namely organic species, potassium chloride, potassium nitrate, and other nonvolatile substances. The extremely strong photochemical reaction may have produced large amounts of secondary organic carbon on the BC surface in the afternoon, with the high temperature volatilising the whole particle. …”

Perceptions and Experiences of Caregiver-Employees, Employers, and Health Care Professionals With Caregiver-Friendly Workplace Policy in Hong Kong: Thematic Analysis
Published 2025-02-01“…In addition, the two facilitation-related themes (“role struggle” and “inadequate support”) identified in this study exhibit how the dual role had positive and negative spillover effects on each other and the inadequacy of social welfare and health care support systems. ConclusionsWe strongly recommend exploring and adopting potential CFWP in Hong Kong, considering the complexity of factors identified in this study.…”

lncRNA IGHCγ1 Acts as a ceRNA to Regulate Macrophage Inflammation via the miR-6891-3p/TLR4 Axis in Osteoarthritis
Published 2020-01-01“…Luciferase reporter assay was adopted to validate the ceRNA role of IGHCγ1 as miRNA sponge. lncRNA IGHCγ1 was primarily localized in macrophage cytoplasm and upregulated in OA. miR-6891-3p inhibited macrophage proliferation, migration, and inflammatory response by targeting TLR4, while lncRNA IGHCγ1 promoted TLR4 expression by functioning as a ceRNA for miR-6891-3p through the NF-κB signal in macrophages. This study strongly supports that lncRNA IGHCγ1 regulates inflammatory response via regulating the miR-6891-3p/TLR4/NF-κB axis in macrophages.…”
