Effects of screentime on the health and well-being of children and adolescents: a systematic review of reviews
Published 2019-01-01“…Quality of reviews was assessed and strength of evidence across reviews evaluated. Results 13 reviews were identified (1 high quality, 9 medium and 3 low quality). 6 addressed body composition; 3 diet/energy intake; 7 mental health; 4 cardiovascular risk; 4 for fitness; 3 for sleep; 1 pain; 1 asthma. We found moderately strong evidence for associations between screentime and greater obesity/adiposity and higher depressive symptoms; moderate evidence for an association between screentime and higher energy intake, less healthy diet quality and poorer quality of life. …”

Help-seeking behaviors among survivors of intimate partner violence during pregnancy in 54 low- and middle-income countries: evidence from Demographic and Health Survey data
Published 2025-02-01“…Conclusion Practitioners are encouraged to consider the study’s outcomes when designing interventions and support for survivors seeking help in response to IPV during pregnancy. Strong advocacy and action are needed, including fostering survivors’ educational attainment, diminishing pregnant women’s social and financial dependencies on their intimate partners, promoting pre- and peri-natal health care, informing survivors about help, and increasing gender equality by engaging women and men equally within the whole community.…”

Assessment of Allometry in Environmental DNA and RNA Production From Ayu (Plecoglossus altivelis) in an Experimental Condition Using Mitochondrial and Nuclear Gene Markers
Published 2024-11-01“…Regardless of gene and RNA types, individual‐level P. altivelis eNA concentrations were related to their allometric scaled mass (ASM), with the scaling coefficient (b) = 0.75, more strongly than their mean body mass. The result indicated that a larger individual produces lesser mass‐specific eNA particles, supporting the relevance of the allometric scaling in eDNA production at the population level observed in field surveys. …”
