Functionality of bacterial communities in constructed wetlands used for water purification: influence of root components and seasonality
Published 2025-02-01“…The health of wetland plants and the efficacy of water purification are strongly influenced by root-associated bacteria. However, our understanding of the functions of bacterial communities in the plant different root components (i.e., rhizosphere, rhizoplane, and endosphere) and their impact on water purification is still limited.MethodsTo address this knowledge gap, we employed high-resolution 16S rRNA deep amplicon sequencing to explore the bacterial community structure and assembly within the root components of three plant species (i.e. …”

The role of prosocial tendencies in the relationships between gratitude, perceived social support, and psychological well-being among Chinese university students: a structural equa...
Published 2025-01-01“…Multi-group SEM analysis was conducted to examine gender invariance.ResultsGratitude and perceived social support significantly predicted PWB, both directly and indirectly through prosocial tendencies. Gratitude had a strong positive effect on prosocial tendencies (β = 0.412, p < 0.001), which, in turn, significantly contributed to PWB (β = 0.465, p < 0.001). …”

The influence of facial stigma and physical attractiveness on the impressions formation about person
Published 2022-01-01“…While perceiving the face of another person, the subject of perception forms a holistic impression in which the initial pieces of information are integrated depending on their weight, for example, a strong signal eliminates a weak one. Obtained results shows that physical attractiveness weakens the influence of dysembryogenesis stigma on the evaluation of potential criminality, forming a positive bias.…”

Simulation of an intense tropical cyclone in the conformal cubic atmospheric model and its sensitivity to horizontal resolutionhttps://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/
Published 2025-03-01“…Furthermore, we find that the simulated structures of the TC, including primary and secondary circulations, surface fluxes, and precipitation are strongly influenced by horizontal resolution. Our findings suggest that higher resolutions promote greater precipitation and larger latent heat fluxes near the TC centre (facilitating TC intensification). …”

Research on Optimization of Coal Pressure Relief Borehole Parameters under High-Stress Conditions
Published 2021-01-01“…The following results are obtained. (1) A large-diameter results in a large amount of elastic energy released by the surrounding coal, low residual elastic energy density, strong interaction between boreholes, large pressure relief range of the borehole, and high pressure relief efficiency. (2) The main evaluation factor of the borehole pressure relief effect is its thickness and stress concentration area; secondary evaluation is based on the areas of energy, displacement, stress, and plastic behavior. (3) Six evaluation index systems are established to evaluate the effects of borehole pressure relief, which are found to be the thicknesses of the borehole pressure relief area and stress concentration area, reduction degree of energy density, percentage of stress reduction, displacement, and penetration degree of the plastic area. (4) It is determined that when the diameters of the pressure relief boreholes are 100, 120, 180, and 200 mm, a single-row borehole arrangement is adopted; a three-pattern borehole arrangement is adopted with diameters of 140 and 160 mm. …”
