TLR7/8/9 agonists and low-dose cisplatin synergistically promotes tertiary lymphatic structure formation and antitumor immunity by Shuting Wu, Rong Xiang, Yiwei Zhong, Shushu Zhao, Zhiyu Zhang, Zhihua Kou, Shijie Zhang, Yi Zhao, Cheng Zu, Gan Zhao, Yanling Xiao, Sulin Ren, Xiaoming Gao, Bin Wang

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Abstract In situ vaccination (ISV) triggers antitumor immune responses using the patient’s own cancer antigens, yet limited neoantigen release hampers its efficacy. Our novel combination therapy involves low-dose local cisplatin followed by ISV with a TLR7/8/9 agonist formulation (CR108), in which CR108 boosts and sustains the antitumor responses induced by the cisplatin-released neoantigens. …”

The passport database of VIR’s bean collection as a tool for systemizing bean genetic diversity, studying the collection’s history, and monitoring the crop’s worldwide breeding (an... by T. V. Buravtseva, G. P. Egorova, M. A. Vishnyakova

    Published 2019-02-01
“…The biggest replenishments of VIR’s bean collection in its entire long history happened in the times of the USSR (2129 entries). The passport DB also makes it possible to conduct worldwide monitoring of the breeding work with beans, because it provides a comprehensive overview of the history of bean breeding and its present-day status in foreign countries, the ex-USSR republics and the Russian Federation. …”

Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF) Receptor Expression Determines Keratinocyte Fate upon Stimulation with TNF-Like Weak Inducer of Apoptosis by Xuening Wang, Dan Cheng, Guanglei Hu, Lili Liang, Fei Tan, Tong Xiao, Shengxiang Xiao, Yumin Xia

    Published 2019-01-01
“…Our data suggest that TWEAK induces apoptosis in normal keratinocytes and proliferation in TNFR2-overexpressing keratinocytes in a TNF-α-independent manner; however, inhibition of TRAF2 appears to reverse this effect. Interestingly, the interaction between TWEAK and Fn14 increased TNFR1-associated death domain protein and caspase-8 expression in normal keratinocytes and promoted cytoplasmic import of cIAP1 in TNFR2-overexpressing keratinocytes. …”

Alleviating small sample problem in continuous forest monitoring with remote sensing-assisted Copulas by Xinjie Cheng, Zhengyang Hou, Annika Kangas, Jean-Pierre Renaud, Hao Tang, Weisheng Zeng, Qing Xu

    Published 2025-02-01
“…Four main conclusions are relevant: for both Burkina Faso (BF) and Genhe (GH) study area, (1) Copulas outperforms WLS in modeling and prediction, both in terms of mean values and maximum/minimum values; (2) Copulas consistently demonstrates superior performance and precision across varying sample sizes compared to the WLS with MA estimators; (3) a straightforward sample size optimization approach reveals that variance estimates of Copulas remain lower than those of WLS as the sample size decreases in monitoring surveys; (4) Copulas requires about 20% smaller sample size than WLS does when achieving a specified precision, suggesting enhanced efficiency. Overall, Copulas appears promising to satisfy the precision, cost-efficiency, and flexibility requirements of monitoring surveys, particularly in situations involving small sample sizes.…”
