Empathy and Mental Health of Preschool Teachers: A Latent Profile Analysis by Jin R, Li X, Huang H

    Published 2025-02-01
“…Latent profile analysis (LPA) was employed to identify subgroups of preschool teachers by self- and other empathy pattern types. Descriptive statistics, bivariate cross-tabulations, and multinomial logistic regression were used to characterize each profile while quantifying associations with mental health. Results: A four-profile model was identified as the best fit in this latent profile analysis: the largest profile of preschool teachers was characterized by moderate self- and other-oriented empathy (46.5%), a second profile was characterized by high self- and other-oriented empathy (25.2%), a third profile was characterized by high other-oriented and low self-oriented empathy (20.8%), and the smallest profile was characterized by both low self- and other-oriented empathy (7.5%). …”

TNM-Like Classification: A New Proposed Method for Heart Failure Staging by Francesco Fedele, Maria Chiara Gatto, Alessandra D’Ambrosi, Massimo Mancone

    Published 2013-01-01
“…With an eye on the TNM staging used in oncology, we drawn up a classification that will consider the different involvement of organs such as lungs, kidneys, and liver in addition to psychological pattern and quality of life in HF patients. For all these reasons, it is our intention to propose a valid and more specific classification available for the clinical staging of HF that takes into account pathophysiological and structural changes that can remark prognosis and management of HF.…”

    Published 2022-01-01
“…The SEM micrographs showed that the partial replacement of cement by the BWIA and BA leads to a decrease in the pore proportion in the enlarged interfacial transition zone (ITZ), reduced CH crystals, and a denser C–S–H gel as compared to the control specimen. The XRD pattern showed the existence of portlandite, ettringite, okenite, quartz, and calcite in the cement and aggregate phases. …”

Comprehensive analysis of ionomic profiling in Chlorella exposed to chlorpyrifos by Qing-Qing Yu, Yulong Zhang, Shiyuan Zhao, Min Pang, Pei Jiang, Pei Qu

    Published 2025-02-01
“…However, little is known about the toxicological mechanism of CPF on marine microalgae, which is the main primary producer in the marine ecosystem.MethodsThis study explored the ion changes of microalgae Chlorella vulgaris under the stress of CPF through Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS).ResultsSignificant disparities in ionomics among control and treatment group were observed through pattern recognition analysis (principal component analysis, PCA; orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis, OPLS-DA), indicating that CPF may impede their growth by disrupting the homeostasis of crucial elements within algal cells.DiscussionThis study elucidated the inhibitory impact of CPF on green algae growth and its potential mechanism of toxicity through ICP-MS, providing crucial insights for a comprehensive understanding of the influence of organophosphorus pesticides on aquatic ecosystems.…”
