Resource allocation scheme in two-way multi-relay OFDM system
Published 2017-09-01“…A joint optimization scheme for power allocation and subcarrier pairing under high SNR in two-way multi-relay OFDM system was proposed.Unlike those schemes in which relays use subcarriers separately,all the relays were allowed to forward signal on each subcarrier pair for providing much space diversity.With the constraint of total system power,the proposed scheme firstly allocated each relay power with Cauchy inequality with the assuming that the total relay power was fixed.Then the dichotomy was used to calculate the power allocation between the source node and the relay node by maximizing the equivalent channel gain for different subcarrier pairs.Lastly,the power of different subcarrier pairs was allocated by convex programming,and the subcarriers were paired by Hungarian algorithm to obtain the maximum system capacity.There was no optimal power allocation method with low complexity because of the complexity of the power allocation algorithm in two-way multi-relay networks.This algorithm greatly reduces the complexity of power allocation and simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the relay selection scheme and the relays use subcarriers separately scheme.…”

Mobile direct-sequence spread-spectrum underwater acoustic communication based on improved differential energy detector
Published 2017-03-01“…A Doppler estimation method based on the structural features of spread spectrum signal was proposed,which could achieve real-time Doppler estimation for received spread spectrum signals by energy detecting the result of matching correlation calculation of adjacent received spreading symbols.In addition,this method made full use of the spread spectrum processing gain and could do Doppler estimation under low SNR condition.Improved differential energy detector was further proposed,which can effectively deal with the rapid carrier phase fluctuation interference caused by Doppler effect and time-varying multi-path interference by detecting the output energy of two correlators.Simulation verified the robustness of improved differential energy detector algorithm and the Doppler estimation method based on spread spectrum signal.At-sea data shows that improved differential energy detector combined with the proposed Doppler estimation method can achieve low bit error rate communication for direct-sequence spread spectrum underwater acoustic communication with large time-varying Doppler interference when SNR is −10 dB.…”

Published 2023-06-01“…Photo plethysmo graphy (PPG) is widely used to detect heart rate and pulse activity due to its simple design, low cost, and signal cycle that can effectively reflect the heart rhythm.Owing to the partial overlap between the emission and the detection spectra of GaN multiple quantum well (MQW) diode, the MQW receiver can respond to the light emitted from the transmitter sharing identical MQW structures.Thus, the fabricate and characterize monolithic integration of GaN transmitter and receiver was proposed as a single unit onto a conventional GaN-on-sapphire platform.This not only can effectively reduce the size and cost of the device, but also fully improves the sensitivity of the system.The experimental results show that the gallium nitride integrated optoelectronic chip can effectively receive the reflected light modulated by the heart pulse.Combined with circuit processing, the tester’s heart rate and pulse beat frequency can be calculated according to the restored PPG signal, so as to play the role of detection and warning.…”
