Discussion on the issues of applying OTN in power grid communications by Xinnan CHEN, Weihua LIAN, Yining MA

    Published 2022-06-01
“…With the gradual increase in the demand for communication bandwidth in the electric power grid, the application of optical transport network (OTN) in electric power communication has become increasingly extensive and in-depth.A series of problems to be solved have been found in the application process. The long-haul transmission problem, the interruption problem of OTN with polarization multiplexing carried by OPGW which is caused by lightning strikes, the problem of mismatch between trend of service requirement development and functions combination of OTN equipment. The background and principles of the above three issues were briefly sorted out and introduced. The forward and backward Raman amplifiers and remote optical pumping amplifiers were applied in the practical OTN system construction project.Theoretical calculations of the optical power distribution along the fiber were carried out and verified by field measured data, which quantitatively proved the gain of amplifiers mentioned above on the single-span transmission distance of OTN systems. The speed of the rotation of SOP caused by natural lightning strikes was theoretically estimated and measured in the practical OTN system.A test method for the SOP tracking ability of the OTN systems was proposed and carried out.An idea of applying the pakect optical transport network (POTN) to imporve the flexibility of OTN bandwidth administration was proposed.…”

STUDY ON MESHING CHARACTERISTICS AND FATIGUE LIFE OF CYCLOIDAL SPUR GEARS WITH LOW SLIDING RATE by XU JianMin, ZHENG QingJie, LIU Kun, GONG XiaoYan, SONG Lei

    Published 2024-08-01
“…In order to improve the transmission performance of gears,a low sliding rate cycloidal spur gear based on the meshing line principle was presented.Firstly, the equations of gear sub tooth profile and transition curve were derived from the gear meshing principle. Then, the maximum degree of overlap was calculated as 3.0134 based on the gear meshing principle and the overlap equation. Finally, computer simulation was conducted to analyze the stability, contact stress and fatigue life during the meshing process. The results show that the tangential meshing force between the teeth of the high overlap cycloidal gear is 1238.2 N,which is 5.24%smaller than that of the involute standard gear under the same working condition. The fatigue life analysis shows that the minimum fatigue life is 4.534×106times,and the tooth surface contact stress is mainly concentrated in the gear meshing position and the tooth root part,so the fatigue damage is easy to occur in the driving gear and driven gear meshing and tooth root part.…”

A reduced-complexity compressed sensing channel estimation for underwater acoustic channel by Xuan YU, Xuan GENG

    Published 2021-03-01
“…Aiming at the sparse characteristics of underwater acoustic channels for shallow seas, a reduced-complexity look-ahead backtracking orthogonal matching pursuit (RC-LABOMP) channel estimation algorithm was proposed.Firstly, two types of support sets of orthogonal matching pursuit and subspace pursuit channel estimation algorithms were calculated, and then prior information based on the intersection and union of the two support sets were preprocessed. At last, the preprocessed prior information was used to complete look-ahead backtracking orthogonal matching pursuit channel estimation. The preprocessed prior information leads to the decrease of the iteration number of original LABOMP, and reduction of the atom index range, thus the proposed algorithm can reduce the computational complexity of original LABOMP significantly. In addition, combining the proposed algorithm with the underwater acoustic Turbo equalization system is more suitable for underwater acoustic communication systems.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm demonstrates high estimation accuracy and low bit error rate performance under both conditions of random channels and underwater acoustic channels. It also reduces the computational complexity of the LABOMP algorithm. Therefore, it is an effective method for shallow seas underwater acoustic channels estimation algorithm.…”

Study on Flood Season Staging in Longtan Reservoir Based on Fisher Optimal Dissection Method by LI Dongqin, HUANG Ya, YI Ling, HOU Guibing, LI Yuanyuan

    Published 2021-01-01
“…Based on the daily data of precipitation and runoff over the Longtan reservoir from 1960 to 2015,this paper selects four weight assignment methods to calculate the feature vector of flood season stages based on Fisher optimal dissection method, and analyzes the number of optimal flood season stages of the reservoir. The results show that:When ten days are used as the unit of flood season staging, the weight coefficients have little influence on the result of flood season staging. The flood season staging results of the Longtan reservoir based on the Fisher optimal dissection method can better reflect the characteristics of rainstorms and flood in the flood season of the basin, and the optimal number of flood season stages is five.According to the optimal staging results, the flood season in the Longtan reservoir is divided into pre-flood transition period (April 1~April 30),pre-flood period (May 1~May 20),main flood period (May 21~July 20),post-flood period (July 21~September 10) and post-flood transition period (September 11~October 31).…”

A method of synthetic speech spoofing detection using constant Q modulation envelope by Jia XU, Zhihua JIAN, Honghui JIN, Chao WU

    Published 2023-11-01
“…In response to the low accuracy of synthetic speech spoofing detection based on traditional acoustic feature parameters, poor detection performance for unknown types of synthetic speech, and performance degradation in noisy environments, a method for detecting spoofing synthetic speech was proposed using constant Q modulation envelope (CQME) .The motivation of the method was from the fact that the temporal envelope of speech contained abundant information and there was a big difference in detail between the envelope of synthetic speech and genuine speech. The modulation envelope spectrum of speech was obtained by employing constant Q transform (CQT), and the root mean square of each frequency component was calculated to derive the CQME feature vector. And then the CQME feature vector was used to train the random forest classifier for discriminating genuine speech from spoofing synthetic speech.Experimental results demonstrate that the random forest trained with CQME features achieves high detection performance on the ASVspoof 2019 dataset and exhibites good detection efficacy for unknown types of synthetic speech.Furthermore, the proposed method shows high detection performance even under various noise conditions, having excellent noise robustness.…”
