Chain-mediated effect of physical activity between Chinese language-based L2 motivational self-system and intended effort
Published 2025-01-01“…According to the SEM test, in addition to the direct effect of L2MSS on intended effort, the following paths existed: (1) ILS→PA→IE (effect=-0.265, ratio = 31.28%, 95%CI=[0.124, 0.527]), (2) OLS→PA→IE (effect = 0.179, ratio = 17.94%, 95%CI=[0.074, 0.256]), (3) ILS→PA→LE→IE (effect = 0.116, ratio = 10.69%, 95%CI=[0.042, 0.248]), (4) OLS→PA→LE→IE (effect = 0.108, ratio = 4.15%, 95%CI=[0.039, 0.126]). total indirect effect为0.304 (ratio = 59.61%, 95%CI=[0.069, 0.289]). (1) PA had an ameliorative effect on L2MSS, learning experience, and intended effort, and increasing PA level increased the significance of this effect. (2) PA level positively predicts L2MSS, learning experience, and intended effort. (3) PA is an important mediator in the process of L2MSS that influences the learning experience and intended effort, so MPA at least 3 days a week can increase the efficiency of second language learning. …”

Pulsed Low-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (LIFU) Activation of Ovarian Follicles
Published 2024-01-01“…Results: We found a 50% increase in ovarian weight and in the number of mature follicles on the ultrasound-stimulated side with pulsed LIFU and intraperitoneal injection of 10 IU PMSG in 10-day-old rats. After ultrasound stimulation, the PCOS-like rats had a decrease in androgen levels, restoration of regular estrous cycle and increase in the number of mature follicles and corpora lutea, and the ratio of M1 and M2 type macrophages was altered in antral follicles of PCOS-like rats, consequently promoting further development and maturation of antral follicles. …”

Early treatment discontinuation in patients with deficient mismatch repair or microsatellite instability high metastatic colorectal cancer receiving immune checkpoint inhibitors
Published 2025-01-01“…Here we examine whether early treatment discontinuation (ETD) before 13 months in patients without progressive disease (PD) can lead to similar long-term disease control compared with a longer treatment duration (LTD).Methods To assess whether ETD is associated with similar outcomes compared with LTD, we assembled an international cohort of patients with dMMR/MSI-H mCRC treated with ICIs who stopped treatment for a reason other than PD within 395 days (ETD group) and compared them to those who continued for >395 days (LTD group). …”

Examining the Effects of Different Exertion Levels and Reference Standards on the Diagnostic Accuracy of Exercise ECG for Detecting Coronary Artery Disease — A Pilot Study
Published 2025-01-01“…Therefore, in this pilot study, a total of 147 patients without known CAD who underwent exercise ECG followed by coronary angiography within 90 days were retrospectively evaluated. Results The combined end point of 85% of APMHR and 75% of the predicted workload showed a slight but not statistically significant benefit over APMHR alone (66.7% vs. 58.1%; p = 0.545). …”

Effect of delivery hospital busyness on early mortality in small preterm infants: a Finnish population-based cohort study in 2006–2016
Published 2025-01-01“…We analysed differences in the incidence of selected adverse outcomes between quiet and busy days compared with optimal delivery-volume days by logistic regression followed by crude (ORs) and adjusted ORs (aORs) with 99% CIs.Setting A population-based cohort study based on prospectively collected real-world data from five university hospitals and 21 non-tertiary-level delivery hospitals in Finland, 2006‒2016.Participants 4323 small preterm infants.Primary outcome measures Umbilical cord pH ≤7.05, Apgar score 0–3 points at the age of 1 min, Apgar score 0–3 points at age 5 min, birth asphyxia (International Classification of Diseases-10 code), resuscitation with intubation.Secondary outcome measures Perinatal mortality comprising stillbirths and early neonatal deaths (<7 days). Results Busy days (busy vs optimal) showed no correlation with the primary birth-related outcomes. …”
