Stability evaluation of karst roof of pile foundation based on variable weight fuzzy comprehensive theory
Published 2024-11-01“…Results indicate: (1) Factors obtained from Fault Tree Analysis theory can be used to evaluate stability systematically, identify potential event pathways, and mitigate incomplete evaluation factors. (2) The comprehensive evaluation method introduced variable weight fuzzy, employing a “penalty” mechanism for weight variation to determine the need for weight variation in assessment factors, achieves accurate on-site assessments through amplifying their influences. (3) The stability grade within the study area under the variable weight model was “unstable”, contrasting the evaluation of “relatively unstable” under the constant weight model, demonstrating that the variable weight fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model aligns more closely with on-site survey results. …”

Comparative metabolic study of planktonic and sessile cells in Salmonella Enteritidis ATCC 13076: Elucidating metabolic pathways driving biofilm formation.
Published 2025-01-01“…Among the metabolites that exhibited positive modulation in planktonic cells were proline, phenylalanine, which act as precursors of essential metabolites and part of the stress adaptation mechanisms. In addition, putrescine and cadaverine, play crucial roles in growth, stress response, and cell stability In contrast, the most representative metabolites in sessile cells included lysine, adenosine, purines, pyrimidines, and citrate, mainly associated with maintaining cellular homeostasis, stress response and metabolic regulation. …”

IONPs-induced neurotoxicity via cascade of neuro-oxidative stress, parthanatos-mediated cell death, neuro-inflammation and neurodegenerative changes: Ameliorating effect of rosemar...
Published 2025-06-01“…Therefore, the present work aimed to estimate the potential protective role of the oral extract of rosemary (RO)against the toxic effects of injected IONPs on the brain tissues of adult male rats, and to explore the potential underlying mechanisms involved in reversing such toxicity. Thirty adult male albino rats were allocated into five groups: the control, the vehicle (intravenous saline injection once/week), the RO extract group (orally gavaged100mg/kg/day), IONPs (intravenously injected 30 mg/kg once/week), and the combined RO+IONPs (orally gavaged RO extract 1 hrh before intravenous injection of IONPs). …”

Activation of Adenosine A3 Receptor Alleviates TNF-α-Induced Inflammation through Inhibition of the NF-κB Signaling Pathway in Human Colonic Epithelial Cells
Published 2014-01-01“…To investigate the expression of adenosine A3 receptor (A3AR) in human colonic epithelial cells and the effects of A3AR activation on tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α-) induced inflammation in order to determine its mechanism of action in human colonic epithelial cells, human colonic epithelial cells (HT-29 cells) were treated with different concentrations of 2-Cl-IB-MECA prior to TNF-α stimulation, followed by analysis of NF-κB signaling pathway activation and downstream IL-8 and IL-1β production. …”

Combined Effects of 2-Methoxyestradiol (Hypoxia-Inducible Factor 1α Inhibitor) and Dasatinib (A Second-Generation Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor) on Chronic Myelocytic Leukemia Cells
Published 2022-01-01“…To clarify the therapeutic effect of inhibiting this gene on CML, the present study is aimed at exploring the treatment effects of 2-methoxyestradiol (2-ME2), dasatinib alone, and combined both on K-562 cells and the possible mechanism of 2-ME2 in treating the disorder. The levels of HIF-1α, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and glutamate synthase 1 (GLU1) genes in K-562 cells were affected dose-dependently after 2-ME2 administration. 2-ME2 induced cell apoptosis by downregulating antiapoptotic protein expressions of Bcl-xl and Bcl-2. …”
