Impact of Experimental Tonic Pain on Corrective Motor Responses to Mechanical Perturbations by Elodie Traverse, Clémentine Brun, Émilie Harnois, Catherine Mercier

    Published 2020-01-01
“…Movement is altered by pain, but the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Assessing corrective muscle responses following mechanical perturbations can help clarify these underlying mechanisms, as these responses involve spinal (short-latency response, 20-50 ms), transcortical (long-latency response, 50-100 ms), and cortical (early voluntary response, 100-150 ms) mechanisms. …”

Mode Analysis of Degree of Freedom of a New Bifurcation Parallel Mechanism by Song Wei, Xu Yong, Liu Yong, Lü Yeping, Liang Zheng

    Published 2020-04-01
“…A new bifurcated single-loop closed-chain configuration URRC is proposed. This single-loop closed-chain has two degrees of freedom modes.A bifurcated parallel mechanism is obtained by combining series branch PRRP with bifurcated single-loop closed chain to form a hybrid branch chain and connecting the moving platform and fixed platform with three parallel branches.Through the combination of different modes of single-loop closed-chain,the parallel mechanisms of 3T3R,3T,2R1TⅠ,2R1TⅡ and 1R2T with five DOF modes are obtained. The correctness of the five DOF modes of the bifurcated parallel mechanism and the rationality of driving selection are proved by screw theory analysis.…”

Adaptive bandwidth allocation algorithm based on the multi-threshold reservation mechanism by Geng CHEN, Wei-wei XIA, Lian-feng SHEN

    Published 2014-12-01
“…An adaptive bandwidth allocation algorithm based on multi-threshold reservation mechanism is proposed to guarantee the quality of service (QoS) of multi-services in heterogeneous wireless networks. With the bandwidth reserva-tion mechanism by setting multi-threshold in each network for every traffic, the adaptive bandwidth allocation scheme according to the transmission rate levels requirements for traffic k and the network status can be formulated as an optimal problem with the constraints of the bandwidth allocation matrix for each traffic and all users based on the multi-homing technology.A procedure of the iterative method is presented to solve the optimal problem of the formulated adaptive bandwidth allocation scheme. The optimized bandwidth allocation matrixes for traffics and for all users are obtained for the real-time network throughput maximization under bandwidth reserving thresholds and network capacity constrains and the bandwidth resource utilization efficiency of heterogeneous wireless network can be increased.Numerical simula-tion results show that the proposed algorithm can support QoS requiring transmission rate grades, decrease the new call blocking probability, increase the average user access rate and improve the network throughput of the heterogeneous wireless network by 40% to the largest extent.…”

Failure Mechanism of the Qianjiangping Slope in Three Gorges Reservoir Area, China by Zhenhua Zhang, Mingming Qian, Song Wei, Juxiang Chen

    Published 2018-01-01
“…In order to clarify the influence degrees of each of three conditions (reservoir impoundment, rainfall, and combined effect of reservoir impoundment and rainfall) on the failure of the Qianjiangping slope and reveal the failure mechanism of the slope, underground water tables and stresses in the slope were calculated under the three conditions, respectively, based on fluid-solid coupling theory using the Abaqus software in this paper; then, the failure approach index (FAI) was adopted to analyze the failure characteristics of the slope under each of the three conditions. …”
