Highly reliable access algorithm for PD-NOMA based IoT with delay guarantee by Chaonong XU, Jianxiong WU, Yongjun XU

    Published 2020-09-01
“…A single-hop PD-NOMA network supporting k-successive interference cancellation (k-SIC) was considered.Given the real-time performance requirements, how to maximize the average reliability of uplink transmissions by the joint users grouping and power allocation was studied.A heuristic algorithm with complexity of O(nlogn) was presented, where n was the number of users. The algorithm was also proved to be the optimal if k=2.The performance evaluations reveal that the transmission reliability will increase exponentially with the linear degradation of the real-time performance guarantee.Besides, the transmission reliability is enhanced with respect to the random users grouping algorithm.…”

Physical layer security for SWIPT-NOMA system in presence of randomly located eavesdroppers by Yifan DING, Guangqiu LI, Hui LI

    Published 2022-03-01
“…The combination of non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) and simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) technologies can improve spectrum efficiency of wireless system and solve the power supply problem of user nodes. However, when energy-harvesting receivers want to maliciously eavesdrop on confidential information sent by the base station, the information security transmission of SWIPT-NOMA system will be threatened. To enhance its physical layer security (PLS) performance, the PLS model of SWIPT-NOMA system with transmit antenna selection and power split strategies was proposed. When the spatial location randomly distributed energy-harvesting receivers obey the Poisson point process, the approximate expressions for the secrecy outage probability and non-zero secrecy capacity probability of SWIPT-NOMA system were derived by using the spatial Poisson probability generation function.Numerical and simulation results verify the accuracy of the expressions. The above expressions can also be used to study the influence of eavesdropper density, the distance between the base station and the far and near information receivers, the number of transmitting antennas and the power split factor on PLS performance of SWIPT-NOMA system.…”

Outage performance of multi-RIS-assisted NOMA system with imperfect serial interference cancellation by Jiaqing QIN, Liping LUO, Jing ZHOU

    Published 2024-03-01
“…Considering the practical communication environments, the outage performance and the throughput were investigated for multiple reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) assisted non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) system with imperfect serial interference cancellation (SIC).The channel coefficients of the RIS-assisted NOMA system including the direct and the reflecting paths were approximated by Gamma distribution. An approximate closed-form expressions of outage probability were derived and validated through Monte Carlo simulations. The study investigated the relationship between the outage performance and system parameters, including the impact of imperfect SIC, the number of RIS and the number of reflecting units. The simulation results demonstrate that, compared with the single RIS-assisted NOMA and the traditional NOMA system, the multi-RIS-assisted system achieves a 14.2 dBm gain in signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for a given outage probability. Thus, employing multiple RISs can improve the outage performance and the system throughput effectively, thereby compensating for the performance degradation caused by imperfect SIC.…”
