“…Limited by the tag chip resource of a radio-frequency identification (RFID) system,the data and information security has been an important issue of an RFID system.The one-way Hash function provides an efficient and reliable approach for the identification and authentication of the RFID system.Based on the analysis of several typical Hash authentication protocols,a novel secure authentication protocol based on the Hash function was proposed.The protocol was intended to tackle the identification among the handheld RFID reader,tags and server.Specifically,the protocol utilizes the Hash function to achieve the mutual authentication between the above three objects.The performance analysis shows that the proposed protocol can resist the most known attacks with reduced storage capacity and lower computation overhead.Therefore,the proposed strategy effectively ensures the data and privacy security of the RFID system,achieving the bidirectional anonymous authentication between the terminal and server,which is very suitable for the distributed large-scale RFID system.…”

“…Accessing to the optimal network was an effective way of ensuring the efficiency of network resources utilization and improving network performance.An access point selection mechanism based on cross-layer awareness for cognitive networks(CN_CLA)was proposed.Firstly,a cross-layer cognitive framework was constructed for obtaining the primary evaluation parameters that influence the performance of network access.Secondly,the fuzzy theory was applied for evaluating the access network performance comprehensively,and the weights in each layer were optimized using the quantum genetic algorithm,and then the access point was selected intelligently.Simulation results show that the proposed method chooses reasonable access networks without intervention of users.Furthermore,it is superior to the traditional methods,including the link capacity scheme,H_RSSI_S and AS_FTM,in terms of throughput,delay,session completion rate,packet loss and other performance indicators.…”

“…To tackle the problem that radio signal in the terahertz band had different features compared to that in the conventional spectrum, which restricted its application to indoor communication scenarios, a modified propagation model of terahertz radio signal was proposed.Based on the model, the propagation and coverage performances of wide-band single-carrier terahertz radio signal were analyzed.In particular, the wide-band terahertz channel transfer function was constructed, taking the absorption loss introduced by the thickness of the obstacles into account.Using the ray tracing technique, the impacts of the obstacles’ thickness and the bandwidth on the propagation and coverage performances were examined, showing that the coverage performance can be improved by leveraging the reflections from the non-line-of-sight obstacles.Moreover, the trade-off between the coverage radius and the capacity of terahertz communications is revealed, and it is further found that the theoretical spectral efficiency decreases as the carrier frequency of terahertz radio signal increases.…”
