Design of hybrid precoding with successive interference cancellation and alternating direction method of multipliers by Xiongwen ZHAO, Yao LIU, Yu ZHANG, Suiyan GENG, Peng QIN, Zhenyu ZHOU

    Published 2021-05-01
“…To solve the problem of large power consumption caused by a large number of phase shifter (PS) in millimeter wave multi-antenna systems, a new type of dynamic connection structure was designed. With the goal of maximizing spectrum efficiency, two hybrid precoding schemes, successive interference cancellation (SIC) and successive interference cancellation-alternating direction multiplier (SIC-ADMM), were proposed. In SIC scheme, the sum-rate problem was decomposed into multiple sub-rate problems of different radio frequency links, the analog part was solved by iteration, and the digital part was solved by a low-dimensional equivalent matrix.Based on SIC scheme, an improved SIC-ADMM scheme was further proposed by studying the multi-variable sub-rate problem to achieve rapid convergence and reduce computational complexity effectively. The simulation results show that the proposed schemes have good spectrum and energy efficiencies by comparison with the existing schemes, and are more suitable for large-scale antenna systems. In addition, when a certain percentage of PS is turned off, the proposed scheme can greatly improve energy efficiency by sacrificing a small amount of spectrum efficiency.…”

Performance of cellular network embedded in the cell edge with vertical coverage by co-frequency by HUJin-kang Z, ENGNa D, HAOMing Z

    Published 2015-01-01
“…A new hybrid cellular network structure is proposed, where the small base stations equipped with the downward vertical coverage of antenna beam are embedded in the cell edge of current cellular using the same frequency, thereby suppressing the inter-cell interference and improving the signal to interference ratio in the cell edge.Specifically, the radio coverage of these small stations is called vertical coverage, and the coverage of current cellular is called horizontal coverage.Since the proposed network structure does not modify the current cellular network infrastructure,it is easy to operate and implement. The cell interference depth and the interference characteristics in the horizontal coverage and the vertical coverage,as well as their spectral efficiencies are analyzed respectively. Then, the spectral efficiencies of the cell center and the cell edge with vertical coverage are investigated concerning on the proposed new hybrid cellular network structure. The results show that the new hybrid cellular network structure proposed can suppress inter-cell interference and improve cell-edge performance effectively, while achieving higher spectral efficiency.…”

Performance analysis of 60 GHz pulse multiuser communication system based on cross-layer strategy by Xuehua LI, Chen SHEN, Yuanyuan YAO

    Published 2018-09-01
“…Due to the advantages of license-free,strong directionality, high system capacity, and high transmission rate of Gbit/s,60 GHz band is listed as one of the candidate bands for new radios (new radio). In 5G ultra-dense networking scenario, the randomness of node switching caused by the decrease of the distance between network nodes may cause severe multiple access interference and resource mismatch problems. In this regard, based on the concept of cross-layer collaborative design,a resource scheduling strategy based on fairness was proposed. The multiple access performance of the strategy was simulated in a 60 GHz pulsed wireless communication system based on TH-PAM (time hopping pulse amplitude modulation).Simulation results show that compared with the system with pure physical layer optimization algorithm, the multiple access system which adopts this strategy shows stronger fairness and lower system error rate, but it needs increase the transmission power to meet the requirements of the coverage of the equivalent communication system. That is,there is a certain trade-off between the energy and fairness of the system, which can be used to guide the structure and deployment of the actual communication system.…”

Application of 5G to current differential protection of distribution network by Yuxiang LV, Yang YANG, Yawen DONG, Yucheng WANG

    Published 2020-02-01
“…Driven by the strategy of grid as a Platform,Hub,and Sharing as well as the construction of Energy Internet and Ubiquitous power Internet of Things declared by Sate Grid Corporation of China, the intelligent distribution network evolves towards Distribution Internet of Things in a gridding and multi-source manner. The traditional distribution network protection and feeder automation barely meets the self-healing requirements of a strong distribution network. The current differential protection is prevailing due to its favorable quick-acting,sensitivity and selectivity. The existing communication solutions baring protection signals includes:fiber channel,230MHz/1.8GHz private wireless network, etc. However, the above methods are usually costly and perhaps with poor stability and low real-time performance. An realistic baring scheme for current differential protection of distribution network over the fifth generation communication system (5G) was proposed, where the of sampling data transmission between differential protection devices was realized based on 5G new radio technology. Thanks to the advantages of low latency, high capacity,security,etc.,5G-based differential protection can dynamically adjust the configuration to accommodate the topology changes, and thus can reduce the transformation and maintenance cost of distribution network.…”
