Large dynamic range microwave photonics mixing system based on parallel DPMZM
Published 2021-01-01“…To solve the problems of nonlinear distortion and limited dynamic range of microwave photonics mixing system, a large dynamic range microwave photonics mixing system based on parallel dual parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator (DPMZM) was proposed. The parallel modulation of radio frequency and local oscillator signals was realized by using DPMZM.The third-order intermodulation distortion (IMD3) in the output intermediate frequency signal was eliminated by configuring the electro-optic modulation index of the two parallel channels and the working point of the modulators. Finally, the dynamic range of the system was improved.Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can suppress IMD3 by 17.7 dB and increase the SFDR to <inline-formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mn>127.8</mn><mtext> dB</mtext><mo>·</mo><msup> <mtext>Hz</mtext> <mrow> <mfrac> <mn>4</mn> <mn>5</mn> </mfrac> </mrow> </msup> </math></inline-formula> .…”

Dual time scale resource allocation for RAN slicing in software-defined oriented polymorphic IoV
Published 2022-04-01“…To effectively meet the differentiated quality of service (QoS) requirements of various vehicular applications, a dual time scale resource allocation algorithm for radio access network (RAN) slicing in software-defined polymorphic Internet of vehicles (IoV) was proposed.Considering the constraints of the minimum rate requirement of enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) slice users, vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) link reliability, the maximum power of nodes, the maximum number of RBs, a joint optimization problem of caching, spectrum, power allocation was formulated, with the aim of minimizing the average delay of ultra-reliable and low-latency communication (URLLC) slice users.By using the Hungarian algorithm, linear integer programming method and the double deep Q-Learning network (DDQN) algorithm, the original NP-hard problem was solved in dual time scales. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is superior to the traditional algorithm in ensuring the QoS requirements of different slice users and improving the spectrum utilization.…”

Performance analysis of RIS-assisted mixed RF/THz system
Published 2022-01-01“…To solve the problem of the short transmission distance of terahertz (THz) links, the performance of the reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-assisted mixed dual-hop radio frequency (RF)/THz system was studied. An RIS was used to enhance signal strength, thereby improving the system performance.Using the fixed-gain amplify-and-forward protocol, the cumulative distribution function and probability density function of the end-to-end signal-to-noise ratio of the RF/THz link were derived.Capitalizing on the statistical characteristics, the analytical expressions of outage probability, average bit error rate, and average channel capacity of the mixed relaying system were further derived. In addition, the asymptotic analyses of the outage probability and the average bit error rate were carried out to obtain the diversity order of the mixed RF/THz system.Simulation results show that the RIS can effectively improve the performance of the mixed RF/THz system.Furthermore, the system performance is related to the channel fading, pointing errors, and propagation distance.…”

Research on Protection Distances for Interference Between Earth Stations——Protection Distances for Interference from Fixed-SateIIite Earth Stations to Space Research Earth Stations...
Published 2014-06-01“…Fixed-satellite service earth stations and space research service earth stations parameters in the 8 400~8 500 MHz band were introduced. Then the interference from fixed-satellite earth stations to space research earth stations was examined and the required separation distances for protection of space research earth stations were calculated. For the protection of space research earth stations, both the non-geostationary-satellite and geostationary-satellite systems using maximum equivalent isotropically radiated power spectral density values allowed per“Radio Regulations”were covered. The result shows that required separation distances in the range from 542 km to 582 km around near-earth space research service earth stations would need to be established in order to meet the protection criteria of the near-earth space research earth station.…”

Outage performance analysis of IRS-aided cognitive satellite-terrestrial network
Published 2023-07-01“…The outage performance of intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) aided cognitive satellite-terrestrial network was analyzed.Firstly, for the scenario where the point beam was enabled at the satellite to serve the earth station, and the IRS and non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) were deployed at the base station to expand the communication range and serve multiple users, respectively, under the condition that cognitive radio technology was employed to enable spectrum sharing between the satellite primary network and the terrestrial secondary network, an optimization problem was established to maximize the average signal-to-noise ratio of terrestrial users.Secondly, a low complexity IRS phase shift design was proposed by using channel state information based on the angle domain, and the phase shift matrix of IRS was obtained. Then, the closed-form expressions of outage probabilities of terrestrial users were derived when users were static and moving, respectively.Furthermore, the asymptotic outage probability formulas at high signal-to-noise ratio were also derived to analyze the system performance. Finally, the correctness of derivation and the influence of main parameters on outage performance were verified by computer simulations.…”
