Efficacy and safety of the metformin-mazindol anorectic combination in rat
Published 2021-06-01“…An acute dose of mazindol and metformin administered per os, individually or as a mixture, has reduced the milk consumption in rats in a dose-dependent manner. Theoretical effective dose 40 (ED40t) did not differ from the experimental effective dose 40 (ED40e) obtained with the mazindol-metformin mixture in the anorexia experiments, by Student′s t-test. …”

The Problem of Obtaining Evidence from EU Countries While Achieving the “Crime Does Not Pay” Goal
Published 2024-12-01“…In the context of the European Union’s efforts to fight crime in a comprehensive manner and in line with the European Commission’s Communication of 2008, that confiscation and recovery of proceeds are a powerful means for fighting organized crime effectively and its commitment to support the development of confiscation-related legislative and non-legislative measures1, alternative legal instruments to achieve the “crime does not pay” objective are also being developed, where obtaining evidence from other Member States is also a key issue. …”

Developing a Clustering-Based Empirical Bayes Analysis Method for Hotspot Identification
Published 2017-01-01“…As crash data often contain underlying heterogeneity that, in essence, can make them appear to be generated from distinct subpopulations, methods are needed to select similar sites in a principled manner. To overcome this possible heterogeneity problem, EB-based HSID methods that use common clustering methodologies (e.g., mixture models, K-means, and hierarchical clustering) to select “similar” sites for building SPFs are developed. …”

The Influence of Mg2+ Ions on the In Vitro Efficacy of Chitosan-Titanium Dioxide Nanotubes (CTNTs) Scaffolds
Published 2019-01-01“…Fluorescence-based staining, cell viability, and alkaline phosphatase assays indicated that the adsorbed Mg2+ ions onto CTNTs scaffolds aided in promoting higher proliferation and early differentiation of MG63 cells than scaffolds without Mg2+ ions in a concentration-dependent manner. Based on current results, CTNTs scaffolds with Mg2+ ions may be a potential biomaterial for bone regeneration.…”

Design and Application of Water Conservancy Model Management Service Platform
Published 2022-01-01“…The current water conservancy model cannot realize unified access and use,and the computing efficiency of multiple users, models, and schemes is low.In addition, the ability of sharing applications deeply bound with the system is weak. Therefore, the model fails to meet the requirements of intelligent water conservancy and digital twin watershed construction. In view of this, this paper designs a water conservancy model management service platform and applies it to practice.First, different types of water conservancy models are integrated, and their service interfaces are standardized,so as to uniformly receive model calculation service parameters and data in different formats and then convert them into required formats through platform adaptation, which avoids the problem of difficult unified invocation caused by differences in the interfaces of each model.Second, model computing resources are deployed and managed in a unified manner, and model calculation requests are distributed to different servers for calculation through task scheduling,so as to improve the resource utilization rate and reduce calculation time. Finally,a water conservancy model management service platform is developed, which integrates model management, model service, and model assembly functions,so as to provide the application system with model computing service. The application of multiple projects shows that the platform can integrate and share the resources of water conservancy models, give full play to the smart function, and provide support for the construction of intelligent water conservancy and digital twin watersheds.…”
