An Improved Multibranch Convolutional Neural Network with a Compensator for Crowd Counting by Zhiyun Zheng, Zhenhao Sun, Guanglei Zhu, Zhenfei Wang, Junfeng Wang

    Published 2022-01-01
“…However, as the number of webcams increases, a crowd with extremely high density can obtain less error by summing the images of multiple close-range webcams, but there are still some problems such as heavy occlusions and large-scale variation. To solve the above problems, this paper proposes a new type of multibranch neural network with a compensator, in which features are extracted through multibranch subnetworks of different scales. …”

Analysis of Top Quark Pair Production Signal from Neutral 2HDM Higgs Bosons at LHC by Majid Hashemi, Mahbobeh Jafarpour

    Published 2018-01-01
“…In order to distinguish the signal from the main background which is the standard model tt¯, we benefit from the fact that the top quarks in signal events acquire large Lorentz boost due to the heavy neutral Higgs boson. This feature leads to three collinear jets (a fat jet) which is a discriminating tool for identification of the top quarks from the Higgs boson resonances. …”

Improved SMC cardinality-balanced multi-Bernoulli forwardbackward smoothing track-before-detect algorithm by Jiazheng PEI, Yong HUANG, Yunlong DONG, Xiaolong CHEN

    Published 2019-08-01
“…For the tracking problem of multiple maneuvering targets in radar observation, the sequential Monte-Carlo cardinality-balanced multi-Bernoulli track-before-detect (SMC-CBMeMBer-TBD) algorithm is inaccurate in the estimation of the number of targets and the precision of state estimation. An improved algorithm based on SMC-CBMeMBer forward backward smoothing track-before-detect algorithm was proposed. In the algorithm, the multi target particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) was added between the process of prediction and update, and the fitness function was set up based on the observation value to make the particle set move to the position of the larger posterior probability density distribution, and solve the particle poverty in the heavy sampling process. In the update step, the algorithm was used. Then the smoothing recursive method was added, and the arithmetic operation time was prolonged, but the number and the state estimation precision were improved. The simulation results show that compared with the CBMeMBer-TBD method, the proposed algorithm improves the accuracy of the estimation of the number of maneuvering targets and the accuracy of the target state estimation.…”

Research of the Fractal Extrapolation of Transmission System Load Signal of Tracked Vehicle by Wang Yanzhong, Chen Yanyan, Zhou Guangming, Jia Shuang, Lv Qingjun, Zhang Zuzhi

    Published 2016-01-01
“…Aiming at the problem of load test data volume of transmission system of heavy tracked vehicles(HTVs) is huge and extraction rate of effective information is low,the inherent fractal hierarchical rule of this data is studied, this data have the typical fractal characteristic is verified and the fractal parameter of the tracked vehicle transmission system load data under a certain road condition.Under the premise of ensurse data accuracy and fractal character,a new fractal interpolation method(FIM) is built, the continuation to simplify data information is realized. Moreover, obvious advantages could be observed in the results of the FIM,comparing to those of the linear interpolation method and the spline interpolation method. It could be concluded that by combining a’low-frequency-and-long- time’ sampling approach and the proposed FIM,the test efficiency of load history can be improved, the complex chaotic feature of high frequency sampling data can be represented. And a analysis way for researching the dynamic chaos characteristic of the HTVs transmission system is provided.…”
