Association between the subclinical level of problematic internet use and habenula volume: a look at mediation effect of neuroticism
Published 2025-02-01“…The habenula (Hb), located between the thalamus and the third ventricle, is implicated in various psychiatric disorders. In addition, personality features have been suggested to play a role in the pathophysiology of PIU.Aims This study aimed to investigate Hb volumetry in individuals with subclinical PIU and the mediating effect of personality traits on this relationship. Methods 110 healthy adults in this cross-sectional study underwent structural magnetic resonance imaging. …”

Study on mechanical properties of sandstone damaged by blasting load under triaxial cyclic loading and unloading
Published 2025-01-01“…The peak stress, cohesion and internal friction angle characteristics of the undamaged specimens under triaxial cyclic loading and unloading and conventional triaxial loading were greater than those of the vibration-damaged specimens. In addition, the corresponding parameters of the vibration-damaged specimens were greater than those of the blast-damaged specimens; thus, the damage induced by the blast load reduced the ability of the rock body to resist external loads. (2) The peak stresses of the specimens with different degrees of damage increased linearly with increasing confining pressure, and the presence of confining pressure restricted the deformation of the rock body and enhanced the ability of the specimens to resist external loads. (3) Under cyclic loading and unloading, the first cycle generated the largest residual stress variable. …”

Transcriptome Analysis of Effect of Cordyceps militaris Aqueous Extract in Human Gastric Cancer Cell BGC-823 on Different RCD Pathways
Published 2025-02-01“…A total of 5885 differentially expressed genes were identified through transcriptome sequencing analysis, with significant enrichment in the apoptosis (P=0.001) and autophagy (P=0.008) signaling pathways. In addition to ferroptosis, the expression levels of hub genes associated with other signaling pathways were significantly inhibited, including the key factor of caspase-dependent apoptosis (CASP3, CASP9, CASP7, APAF1) as well as ULK1, ULK2, UVRAG, Atg14, and Atg5 related to autophagosome formation. …”

Synthesis and evaluation of a novel monomeric amine as sodium montmorillonite swelling inhibitor
Published 2018-02-01“…Fourier transform infrared spectra of certain concentration N 1 , N 2 -ditetradecy- N 1 , N 1 , N 2 , N 2 -tetrakis (2-hydroxyethyl) ethane-1,2-diaminium bromide/sodium montmorillonite indicated the successful physical adsorption and interaction between N 1 , N 2 -ditetradecy- N 1 , N 1 , N 2 , N 2 -tetrakis (2-hydroxyethyl) ethane-1,2-diaminium bromide with sodium montmorillonite. In addition, the results of X-ray diffraction tests showed the obtained 1.0 wt% N 1 , N 2 -ditetradecy- N 1 , N 1 , N 2 , N 2 -tetrakis (2-hydroxyethyl) ethane-1,2-diaminium bromide solution could remarkably reduce the interlayer distance of wet sodium montmorillonite (from 1.94 to 1.37 nm).…”

Published 2025-01-01“…However, the extent of differentiation between the milieu groups was less pronounced regarding the desire for social distance towards people with schizophrenia than towards people with depression.ConclusionOur findings suggest that socio-cultural and socioeconomic dimensions of the society can be used for both describing heterogeneous societies and illuminating the underlying social structure of stigma. In addition to making blind spots more visible (i.e., schizophrenia), milieu-specific knowledge could be useful in deciding which intervention components are most appropriate for which milieu groups and how to apply them successfully.…”
