Epigene functional diversity: isoform usage, disordered domain content, and variable binding partners
Published 2025-02-01“…Thirdly, given their proposed importance in membraneless organelles, we show epigenes are enriched for substantially larger intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs). Additionally, we assessed the specificity of their expression profiles and showed epigenes are more ubiquitously expressed consistent with their enrichment in pediatric syndromes with intellectual disability, multiorgan dysfunction, and developmental delay. …”

Effects of Curcumin on Iron Overload in Rats
Published 2021-12-01“….); and (iii) iron overload curcumin group that received six doses of curcumin (1000 mg/kg BW by i.p.). In addition to six doses of iron dextran 1000 mg/kg–1 by i.p., we studied the effects of curcumin on liver function enzymes (alanine aminotransferase [ALT] and aspartate aminotransferase [AST]); antioxidant enzymes (malondialdehyde [MDA], total oxidant status [TOS], total antioxidant status [TAS]); hematological parameters (hemoglobin [Hb], hematocrit [Hct], red blood cells [RBC], white blood cells [WBC], mean corpus volume [MCV], mean corpuscular hemoglobin [MCH], mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration [MCHC]); and iron parameters (serum iron profile, transferrin, total iron-binding capacity [TIBC], ferritin, and transferrin saturation [TS%]). …”

Frequency-specific changes in prefrontal activity associated with maladaptive belief updating in volatile environments in euthymic bipolar disorder
Published 2025-01-01“…First, we determined if previously reported increased learning rates in BD stem from a heightened expectation of environmental changes. Additionally, we examined if this increased expectation speeds up belief updating in decision-making, associated with modulation of rhythmic neural activity within the prefrontal, orbitofrontal, and anterior cingulate cortex (PFC, OFC, ACC). …”

Revisiting ‘revisiting supervised methods for effort‐aware cross‐project defect prediction’
Published 2023-08-01“…Recently, Ni et al. proposed an EACPDP method called EASC, which used all cross‐project modules to train a model without considering the data distribution difference between cross‐project and within‐project data. In addition, Ni et al. employed the different defect density calculation strategies when comparing EASC and baseline methods. …”

Ge-gen decoction alleviates primary dysmenorrhoea symptoms in a rat model
Published 2024-12-01“…The expression levels of oestrogen receptor alpha (ERα) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) in uterine tissue were measured using immunohistochemical assays, and those of phosphorylated and total extracellular signal-regulated protein kinases 1 and 2 (ERK1/2) were assessed using western blot analysis. Results Treatment with GGD significantly reduced writhing behaviour, histopathological scores, and levels of COX-2, PGE2, and PGF2α in the serum of PD rats. Additionally, GGD increased β-EP content and inhibited ERK1/2 activation and ERα expression in uterine tissues. Conclusions The results of this study suggest that GGD alleviates PD in rats by suppressing the COX-2-mediated release of PGE2 and PGF2α, modulating the ERα/ERK1/2/COX-2 pathway, and increasing β-EP content. …”
