Impact of immigration-specific stress on safety attitudes: a national cross-sectional study on overseas qualified nurses in Japan
Published 2025-01-01“…Nevertheless, such nurses may encounter various obstacles in their personal and professional lives in the host country, leading to apprehensions about their perceptions of workplace safety in healthcare organisations. Objective This study investigated the current state of immigration-specific stress among overseas qualified nurses (OQNs) working in Japan and its impact on safety attitudes.Settings Invitation letters with a Quick Response (QR) code for a survey were sent to 119 hospitals across Japan that accepted OQNs as per the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Additionally, the survey QR code was shared with OQN-specific social media groups.Participants The inclusion criteria were being born and having received basic nursing education outside Japan, passing the Japanese national nursing examination, and current employment in the Japanese healthcare organisations. …”

Effects of the crystallinity of fluoropolymer binders components in polymer-bonded explosives on shock Hugoniots: A computational study
Published 2024-12-01“…Physically, this phenomenon can be attributed to a reduction in the compressible free volume of the fluoropolymers due to a more orderly chain arrangement. Additionally, under the same compression ratio, the shock temperature of the fluoropolymers increased with the crystallinity, posing potential safety risks to explosives. …”

Anomalous Circulation Patterns in Association with Summertime Regional Daily Precipitation Extremes over Northeast China
Published 2019-01-01“…Located in the strong convergence zone to the southeast of the abnormal cyclonic circulation and northwest of the abnormal anticyclonic circulation, huge amounts of water vapor from the Inner Mongolia, Russia, the Japan Sea, and the mid-high latitudes of the Northwest Pacific are transported to Northeast China, providing sufficient water vapor condition for the occurrence of extreme daily precipitation in this region. In addition, daily extreme precipitation in Northeast China is also closely related to the accumulation and convergence of disturbance energy in Northeast China. …”

Effect of age on the treatment duration and proposed “impacted incisor severity score” of impacted maxillary incisor: A retrospective study
Published 2025-03-01“…Conclusions: Considering the age of the patient, it does not show significant effect on the duration of treatment, but a change in root morphology like dilaceration, significantly increases the duration of treatment. In addition, the proposed objective scoring system “Impacted incisor severity score” could help the clinicians to assess the difficulty and duration of treatment of impacted incisors.…”

Temporal Convolutional Network Approach to Secure Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) in Electric Vehicle Charging
Published 2025-01-01“…The proposed model achieved 100% accuracy in detecting binary labels and 5-class scenarios, and 93% accuracy in identifying 17-class attack types, surpassing existing approaches. Additionally, we conducted a comparative analysis with a hybrid model, demonstrating that the proposed TCN delivers superior performance with lower computational complexity, fewer parameters, a smaller model size, and shorter computation times. …”

Digital multiple health behaviour change intervention targeting online help seekers: protocol for the COACH randomised factorial trial
Published 2022-07-01“…There is a lack of effective interventions which have a large enough reach into the community to improve public health. Additionally, the common co-occurrence of multiple unhealthy behaviours demands investigation of efforts which address more than single behaviours. Methods and analysis The effects of six components of a novel digital multiple health behaviour change intervention on alcohol consumption, diet, physical activity and smoking (coprimary outcomes) will be estimated in a factorial randomised trial. …”

A Panel of Three MicroRNA Signatures as a Potential Biomarker for CRC Screening Based on Stages and Functional Prediction Using Bioinformatic Analysis
Published 2023-08-01“…ROC curve analysis was used to evaluate miRNAs’ diagnostic performance in the early and advanced stages. (3) Results: Collectively, hsa-miR-20a-5p showed the highest discriminative value (AUC= 0.82, sensitivity = 86%, and specificity= 88%) in discriminating early CRC, while both hsa-miR-21-5p and hsa-miR-210-3p give a perfect performance for advance CRC. In addition, the performance of all miRNAs’ combinations also gives a perfect performance for diagnosis in both early and advanced CRC, except the combination of hsa-miR-20a-5p and hsa-miR-210-3p. (4) Conclusions: A few potential miRNA panels as CRC biomarker is needed for better prediction of disease. …”
