An overview of potential cardioprotective benefits of xanthophylls in atherosclerosis: an evidence-based review
Published 2024-07-01“…Based on the evidence from in vitro and in vivo studies, we explored several potential mechanisms, including antioxidant effect, anti-inflammatory effect, regulation of lipid metabolism, and modulation of ECs and VSMCs dysfunction, and we found that a clear picture of regulatory pathways of xanthophylls on atherosclerosis prevention and treatment is still lacking. In addition, epidemiological studies suggested the possible relationship among high dietary intake of xanthophylls, high plasma/serum xanthophylls and a reduced risk of atherosclerosis. …”

Astragaloside IV inhibits pathological functions of gastric cancer-associated fibroblasts through regulation of the HOXA6/ZBTB12 axis
Published 2023-09-01“…Further analysis revealed that HOXA6 or ZBTB12 knockdown in CAFs also exerted inhibitory effects on the malignant phenotypes of gastric cells. Additionally, HOXA6 or ZBTB12 overexpression in CAFs enhanced gastric cancer cell malignancy, which was reversed after astragaloside IV treatment. …”

Silver nanoparticles immobilized on crosslinked vinyl polymer for catalytic reduction of nitrophenol: experimental and computational studies
Published 2025-01-01“…This composite was also applied as a heterogenous catalyst for the reduction of toxic nitrophenol in the industrial wastewater into a less toxic aminophenol with the aid of NaBH4 as reductant. In addition, Ag/poly(DVB) catalyst regards as one of the most active catalyst that exhibits an advantage over the other catalysts showing similar activities in the aspects that it can be more readily prepared than the competitors and that it works at the lowest concentration of NaBH4. …”

The role of IFN-γ/CXCL10 axis in Mycoplasma pneumonia infection
Published 2025-01-01“…In vitro, coculture with IFN-γ or activated CD4+ Th1 cells significantly promoted CXCL10 expressions in THP-1 derived macrophages, which was largely reversed by siRNA-mediated down regulation of STAT1. In addition, IFN-γ-stimulated macrophages greatly promoted the trans-migration of Th1 cells. our data show that Th1 cells-derived IFN-γ augments CXCL10 production in macrophages via the JAK-STAT1 pathway, which subsequently recruits more immune cells like Th1 cells into the infection sites, thereby constituting a positive feedback loop and aggravating the type I inflammatory responses in MPP patients.…”
