Hippocampal Functional Radiomic Features for Identification of the Cognitively Impaired Patients from Low-Back-Related Pain: A Prospective Machine Learning Study by Yang Z, Liang X, Ji Y, Zeng W, Wang Y, Zhang Y, Zhou F

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Finally, we further analyzed the relationship between the hippocampal functional radiomic features and clinical measures, to explore the clinical significance of these features. Results: The combined radiomic features model logistic regression algorithm superior performance in distinguishing cognitively impaired patients from LBLP (AUC = 0.970, accuracy = 92.3%, sensitivity = 92.3%, specificity = 92.3%) compared to the other models. Additionally, radiomic wavelet features were correlated with Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) and Hamilton Anxiety Scale, present pain intensity scores in cognitively impaired LBLP patients (P < 0.05, with Bonferroni correction). Conclusion: Hippocampal functional radiomic features are valuable for diagnosing cognitively impaired patients from LBLP.Keywords: cognitive impairment, resting-state functional MRI, low-back-related leg pain, radiomic, logistic regression algorithm…”

    Published 2023-01-01
“…Various approaches were applied to interpret the multiplex LAMP reaction which deciphered a higher sensitivity when compared to the RT-qPCR for L. infantum (one copy number of plasmid, equal to 0.85 femtograms (fg) of plasmid concentration, and 0.004 parasite DNA per μL) detection while these three standard strains of Leishmania were confirmed to contain 40 DNA copies using RT-qPCR. Additionally, the multiplex LAMP detection limit was approximately equivalent to RT-qPCR for L. major and L. tropica, which included 0.342 picograms (pg) and 342 femtograms (fg) of plasmid concentration, 4 × 103 and 4 × 102 copy number of plasmid, and 17.1 and 1.71 parasite DNA per μL for L. major and L. tropica, respectively. …”
