Return Strategies of Competing E-Sellers: Return Freight Insurance vs. Return Pickup Services
Published 2025-01-01“…Our findings revealed that highly similar or highly differentiated products typically favor RFI due to intense price competition or reduced need for service-based competition, while moderately differentiated products lead to RPS adoption as service quality becomes a key competitive lever. Additionally, competitive pressure often drives e-sellers to adopt homogenized return strategies, particularly RPSs, to maintain market position. …”

Japanese-as-a-foreign-language acquisition affects native Chinese lexical processing among Chinese learners
Published 2025-01-01“…Through a comparison with native Chinese speakers who have not learned Japanese, the results indicate that L2 Japanese acquisition significantly impacts native Chinese lexical processing for Chinese learners of Japanese. Additionally, although there are some indications of the effects of orthographic and phonological similarities between Chinese and Japanese on native Chinese processing, the overall impact appears to be relatively weak. …”

Assessment of Parents’ Awareness Towards Space Maintainers: A Cross‑Sectional Study
Published 2024-12-01“…Descriptive statistical analysis was employed to interpret the findings. Results: Despite the fact that 45% children lost primary teeth due to decay, trauma or other reasons, 40.9% of parents declared that they had no idea that early loss of primary teeth could damage permanent teeth. Additionally, only 35.8% of parents stated that they had knowledge of what a space maintainer is; it was found that those parents who were familiar with space maintainers also had a high level of knowledge about its use. Conclusions: It is concluded that there is a need to enhance parental awareness concerning the utilization of space maintainers as a preventive measure following the premature loss of primary teeth.…”

Do “Top” Universities the Best in Everything? How the Status and the Size of Russian Universities Correlate to Student Engagement
Published 2023-12-01“…The results demonstrate that students studying at federal, national research and flagship universities have comparatively lower class engagement and social engagement compared to students from universities without special status. In addition, students at institutions with a size between 1,000 and 3,500 students were the most engaged in class activities and, at the same time, disengaged, while a size of less than 1,000 students was negatively associated with disengagement. …”

Acoustic Emission Characteristics and Energy Evolution of Red Sandstone Samples under Cyclic Loading and Unloading
Published 2021-01-01“…During the cyclic loading and unloading, most of the work done by external forces in the compaction stage and the elastic stage was converted into elastic strain energy, and dissipated energy began to gradually increase in the stage of stable fracture development. In addition, it was found that the damage evolution of the rock samples changed from slow to fast, and the dissipated energy ratio increased when failure was approaching.…”

Variation Characteristics and Influencing Factors of Reference Crop Evapotranspiration in Guangdong Province under Climate Change
Published 2023-01-01“…To explore the temporal and spatial variation characteristics of reference crop evapotranspiration (ET0) in Guangdong Province under climate change and its influencing factors, based on the surface observation data of 37 meteorological stations in Guangdong Province during 1980—2020,the FAO-56 Penman-Monteith method was applied to calculate the daily ET0 of each meteorological station. In addition, this research systematically analyzed the temporal and spatial variation characteristics of ET0 in Guangdong Province and quantitatively studied the influence degree of various meteorological factors on ET0 by using sensitivity and contribution rate analysis methods. The results show that in terms of time scale, the annual average ET0 in Guangdong Province is 1 150 mm,and it shows a significant increasing trend at the rate of 14.84 mm/10a.In terms of spatial scale,ET0 in Guangdong Province shows an increasing trend from north to south, with a variation range of 1 069~1 235 mm.ET0 is more sensitive to relative humidity and temperature than sunshine duration and wind speed. The contribution rate analysis shows that temperature is the dominant factor for ET0 variation in Guangdong Province, followed by sunshine duration, relative humidity, and wind speed. The potential increase in temperature combined with the decrease in relative humidity can lead to higher ET0 and drought events in the future. This study can provide a scientific basis for water resources planning and agricultural irrigation management in Guangdong Province.…”
