Probabilistic Behavior Analysis of MIMO Fading Channels under Geometric Mean Decomposition
Published 2012-01-01“…In particular, closed-form univariate and bivariate probability density functions (PDFs) for these metrics under Rayleigh fading are derived using Gamma approximations. By applying these analytical results, the fluctuations of MIMO-GMD schemes are examined by modeling both link gains and capacities using finite-state Markov chains (FSMCs).…”

A New Generation Method for Spatial-Temporal Correlated MIMO Nakagami Fading Channel
Published 2012-01-01“…The new scheme can be divided into two steps: (1) generate independent Nakagami fading sequences for each subchannel based on a novel rejection method; (2) introduce the temporal and spatial correlation based on the relationships between Rayleigh, Gamma, and Nakagami random processes. The analysis and simulation results show that the proposed simulator has a good agreement with the theoretical model on fading envelope distribution, spatial-temporal correlation characteristic.…”

Application of Grey Self-Memory Model Based on Smoothing Method Without Seasonal Fluctuations on Monthly Runoff Forecast
Published 2021-01-01“…Affected by the monsoon climate, there are abrupt changes,non-smoothing and variation in monthly runoff. However, good accuracy cannot be realized if the monthly runoff is simulated and predicted directly by the gray self-memory model. This paper proposes a new monthly runoff smoothing method (that is,smoothing method without seasonal fluctuations).First, the seasonal index is used to remove the “seasonal fluctuations” of monthly runoff, then, the three-point smoothing method is applied to smooth the monthly runoff without seasonal fluctuations, and finally the gray self-memory model is adopted to simulate and predict the smoothed data. After being applied to the Yanling Hydrological Station in Hunan Province, the results show that the average error of fitting and forecasting value of monthly runoff after seasonal fluctuation removing and smoothing is less than 20% compared with the measured value. At the same time, the short-term monthly runoff data is used to simulate and forecast monthly runoff by this method, which also meets the requirements of the specification.…”

'Just because' Constructions in Spoken and Written New Zealand English
Published 2020-12-01“…Our study, based on a corpus of New Zealand written and spoken English, demonstrates, amongst other significant findings, that JB occurs in a far broader set of grammatical contexts than the earlier literature recognizes, that JB constructions are significantly more frequent in spoken than in written English, that JB adverbial clauses are more likely to occur in pre-posed than in post-posed position, that the meaning of just because affects this distribution, that just because is far more likely to be followed by a clause than a prepositional phrase, and that JB constructions are extremely likely to occur in the discourse context of a negator.…”
