Antibiotic Resistance of Enterobacteriaceae in Microbiomes Associated with Poultry Farming
Published 2023-12-01“…During a broiler’s life span, bacteria with no active resistance determinants in their genome remained sensitive to antibiotics, even though the contact with the latter was constant. Phytobiotics showed good prospects for broiler farming as food additive that could reduce and eventually eliminate the intake of antibiotics.…”

Exclusive Breastfeeding Knowledge, Intention to Practice and Predictors among Primiparous Women in Enugu South-East, Nigeria
Published 2019-01-01“…The Wald statistic in Logistic regression model indicated the coefficient of age (p = 0.026), educational attainment (p = 0.046), EBF knowledge (p = 0.016), and sources of information about EBF (p = 0.027) to be significant predictors of good intention to practise EBF. Poor EBF knowledge and intention to practice in this population may be improved by combining facility-based and in-house methods of breastfeeding counseling, education, and support especially to intending and expectant mothers. …”

FORCED HAPPINESS AS A MODERN SOCIO AND CULTURAL IMPERATIVE
Published 2015-12-01“…The idea is that the right to happiness, to private pleasure and self-care are the basic ideas of the Enlightenment and transformed into a cult object of enormous industry in the modern consumer society, the viability of which depends on the effectiveness of the symbolic goods consumption. Thus, the defining feature of the modern market society becomes the intensification practices of fun, the emancipation of desires that not only frees the individual, does not make him happy, and on the contrary, the individual exists in the atmosphere of constant existential anxiety, which is expressed in the sense of danger not to be happy, not fit within the "emotional regime".…”

Ice-nucleating particles active below −24 °C in a Finnish boreal forest and their relationship to bioaerosols
Published 2024-10-01“…Using the 6 min time resolution PINE data, we present several lines of evidence that INPs below −24 °C in this location are also from biological sources: (i) an INP parameterization developed for a pine forest site in Colorado, where many INPs were shown to be biological, produced a good fit to our measurements; a moderate correlation of INPs with aerosol concentration larger than 0.5 µm and the fluorescent bioaerosol concentration; (ii) a negative correlation with relative humidity that may relate to enhanced release of bioaerosol at low humidity from local sources such as the prolific lichen population in boreal forests; and (iii) the absence of correlation with ultra-fine particles (3.5 to 50 nm), indicating that new particle formation events are not sources of INPs. …”
