Genome analysis of colistin-resistant Salmonella isolates from human sources in Guizhou of southwestern China, 2019–2023
Published 2025-01-01“…Additionally, the CL-R Salmonella isolates exhibited genetic similarities with human Salmonella isolates from Poland, Canada, and Zhejiang province. Among the 42 CL-R isolates lacking markers for CL-R, 12 single-nucleotide variations (SNVs) were observed in 24 isolates using genome-wide association study (GWAS) analysis, which was possibly associated with colistin resistance.ConclusionThis study revealed that the majority of CL-R Salmonella isolates in Guizhou province exhibited MDR, with complex resistance mechanisms, representing a significant public health challenge. …”

Source attribution of human campylobacteriosis at the point of exposure by combining comparative exposure assessment and subtype comparison based on comparative genomic fingerprint...
Published 2017-01-01“…It combined comparative exposure assessment and microbial subtype comparison with subtypes defined by comparative genomic fingerprinting (CGF). It used isolates from clinical cases and from eight potential exposure sources (chicken, cattle and pig manure, retail chicken, beef, pork and turkey meat, and surface water) collected within a single sentinel site of an integrated surveillance system for enteric pathogens in Canada. …”

Development and validation of a minimal SNP genotyping panel for the differentiation of Cannabis sativa cultivars
Published 2025-01-01“…Abstract Background Due to its previously illicit nature, Cannabis sativa had not fully reaped the benefits of recent innovations in genomics and plant sciences. However, Canada’s legalization of C. sativa and products derived from its flower in 2018 triggered significant new demand for robust genotyping tools to assist breeders in meeting consumer demands. …”
