Presenting a Multi-objective Mathematical Model for Smart Grids Considering Load Response Programs
Published 2024-06-01“…In the scope of this research, we focused on the former, which relies on real-time pricing. Our objective was to develop a multi-objective mathematical model that considers load response programs for smart energy grids. …”

Birth and weaning weights in buffalo calves resulting from artificial insemination or natural mating in Venezuela
Published 2023-11-01“…Female buffaloes (n=157) were born lighter than males (35.7 ± 0.1 vs 36.2 ± 0.2 kg; p=0.0500). The former (295.8 ± 3.5) reached an older age at weaning than the latter (280.2 ± 4.1 d) (p=0.0041). …”

Two-step-7-Pink Rule: A Practical Tool for the Dermoscopic Evaluation of Fully Amelanotic Skin Lesions
Published 2025-01-01“…High levels of specificity and sensitivity were calculated in the validation and test phases for both the expert and non-expert evaluators, the former achieving higher levels of both sensitivity and specificity by employing the 2S-7PR compared to the prevalent method, and the latter only improved specificity. …”

A Decade of GRB Follow-Up by BOOTES in Spain (2003–2013)
Published 2016-01-01“…Follow-ups by BOOTES-1B from 2005 to 2008 were given in a previous article and are here reviewed and updated, and additional detection data points are included as the former article merely stated their existence. The all-sky cameras CASSANDRA have not yet detected any GRB optical afterglows, but limits are reported where available.…”

Enrichment of electrotrophic microorganisms from contrasting shallow-sea hydrothermal environments in bioelectrochemical reactors
Published 2025-02-01“…In Panarea reactors, higher growth was correlated with a few bacterial genera, mainly Bacillus and Pseudoalteromonas, including, for the former, at higher temperatures (55°C and 75°C). In reactors reproducing the Prony Bay hydrothermal conditions, known facultative methylotrophs, such as Sphingomonas and Methylobacterium, were dominant and appeared to consume formate (provided as carbon source) but no electrons from the cathode.ConclusionThese results provide new insights into the distribution and diversity of electrotrophs in shallow-sea hydrothermal vents and allow the identification of potential novel biocatalysts for Microbial Electrosynthesis whereby electricity and carbon dioxide are converted into value-added products.…”

Effect of 3D Metal on Electrochemical Properties of Sodium Intercalation Cathode P2-NaxMe1/3Mn2/3O2 (M = Co, Ni, or Fe)
Published 2021-01-01“…Both NaxCo1/3Mn2/3O2 and NaxFe1/3Mn2/3O2 provided a high specific capacity of above 140 mAh·g−1; however, the former showed better cycling performance with 83% capacity retention after 50 cycles at C/10 and high rate capability. …”

Comprehensive Effect of the Time and Water-Cement Ratio on the Rheological Properties of Power-Law Cement Grouts
Published 2021-01-01“…The results showed that the water-cement ratio had a great influence on both the consistency coefficient and the rheological index of the power-law cement grouts. The former appeared to have a downward trend with the increase of the water-cement ratio, and the latter appeared to have an upward trend. …”

The role of the estimated glomerular filtration rate and body roundness index in the risk assessment of uric acid-lowering therapy-resistant gout in U.S. adults: evidence from the...
Published 2025-12-01“…We explored the relationships of the eGFR, BRI, and VAI with UALT-RG risk via univariable and multivariable weighted logistic regression, trend analysis, and restricted cubic splines. Results Among the 1,811 patients with gout, ∼9.08% had UALT-RG; these patients were more likely to have obesity, comorbid diabetes (36% [27–47%] vs. 25% [22–28%]) or impaired kidney function (eGFR < 60 mL/min/1.73 m2, 34.5% [27–43%] vs. 22.5% [20–26%]); be former smokers; and take colchicine (10% [5.6–19%] vs. 4.3% [2.8–6.7%]). …”

Characterization of subcutaneous and visceral de-differentiated fat cells
Published 2025-03-01“…In addition, DFAT cells derived from adipocytes of inguinal origin have dramatically higher adipogenic potential than DFAT cells of the epididymal origin, due in part to enhanced NF-KB signaling in the former. We also show that high-fat diet (HFD) feeding enhances DFAT cell colony formation and re-differentiation into adipocytes, while switching from HFD to chow diet (CD) only reverses their re-differentiation. …”
