Blockage Types and Status Evaluation of Drainage System in Highway Tunnels in Guangdong Province by LI Kejian, LIU Xiabing, WENG Jianhong, ZHOU Yu

    Published 2024-01-01
“…In order to evaluate the blockage status of the drainage system in operational highway tunnels, this paper summarized the types of problems and blockage materials in highway tunnel drainage systems and proposed an evaluation method for blockage status based on investigations of several highway tunnels in Guangdong Province. The results primarily indicated the following:① The water leakage problems in tunnels were closely related to seasonal rainfall over time and were spatially connected to the distribution of unfavorable geological conditions such as karst.and the decline of drainage function caused by drainage system siltation was an important cause of tunnel water damage.② The types of blockage materials in the highway tunnel drainage system included silt, sand and gravel, concrete blocks or foreign matter, and crystallization or scale deposits. The proposed evaluation indicators for blockage status were as follows:filling degree, flow status, turbidity degree, and accumulation degree.③ Based on the priority division of evaluation indicators for blockage status, a blockage status evaluation method of highway tunnel drainage systems was proposed, and this method has been successfully applied to the drainage system remediation project of the Xinwu Tunnel. The research results can provide reference for the operation and maintenance of highway tunnel drainage systems.…”

Study on the Weight and Patterns of Key Controlling Factors for Corrosion in Gathering and Transportation Pipelines of the Sulige Gas Field by JIANG Chengyin, LI Qiongwei, BAI Zilong, HAN Zizi, HUI Baoping, ZHANG Ruoyin, LIU Wei

    Published 2024-12-01
“…Since the western part of the Sulige Gas Field is a water-bearing gas reservoir, the pipelines are prone to corrosion, which severely affects the normal production operations of the gas field and results in significant economic losses and safety risks. In this study, the corrosion of gathering and transportation pipelines in the target gas field was analyzed.Based on this analysis, corrosion coupon experiments, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), confocal Raman microscopy and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques were employed, combined with water and gas quality analyses, to investigate the corrosion patterns of the pipelines. The primary controlling factors of corrosion, including chloride ions, microorganisms, CO2 partial pressure, total pressure and flow rate, were identified.Furthermore, the weight of each controlling factor was determined according to different corrosion characteristics. Results showed that when uniform corrosion of the samples was used as the evaluation criterion, the CO2 partial pressure had the greatest influence on the corrosion rate, accounting for 58.00%of the weight. When pitting corrosion of the samples was used as the evaluation criterion, microorganisms had the greatest influence on the corrosion rate, accounting for 34.00%of the weight.…”

Research and Application of SWAT Model in Basin Without Reservoir Outflow Data by LIANG Guixing, CUI Yali, HUANG Qibo, WANG Yaru, ZHOU Yan, ZHANG Yin

    Published 2021-01-01
“…Due to human factors such as reservoirs, the hydrological cycle of natural basins will change.During the establishment of a basin hydrological model, the reservoir factors should be considered. However, the lack of reservoir outflow data will affect the accuracy of the model to a certain extent.Based on the SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool) distributed hydrological model,long-term daily-scale hydrological model under natural conditions, and Muskingum principle, this paper establishes the upstream and downstream flow response relationships, and obtains the reservoir outflow to improve the accuracy of the simulated hydrological cycle, applies the method to the Guijiang River Basin in Guilin City,Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region for verification, and identifies and verifies the hydrological model parameters of the Guijiang River Basin through SWAT-CUP.The results show that the simulated runoff at each hydrological station after the availability of the reservoir outflow is close to the measured runoff.Among them, the monthly runoff simulation evaluation factors R2 and NS of Guilin Station are increased from 0.85 and 0.83 to 0.98 and 0.93 respectively, and the accuracy of the model is effectively improved, which provide technical means for hydrological management of the Guijiang River Basin.…”
