Predictors and long-term patterns of medication adherence to glaucoma treatment in Denmark—an observational registry study of 30 100 Danish patients with glaucoma
Published 2024-07-01“…Adherence in the first year and in the first two years was associated with adherence in the fifth (ORfirst year: 4.55, 95% CI: 4.30 to 4.82/ORfirst two years: 6.47, 95% CI: 6.10 to 6.86) as with adherence in the 10th year with slightly lower estimates. Being medical adherent was related to higher costs related to glaucoma medication after 5 and 10 years comparing with poor adherence, whereas poor adherence was associated with a marked increase in long-term costs for hospital contacts. Conclusion Increasing age, female sex and low comorbidity score are correlated with better adherence to glaucoma treatment. …”

Examining the Chemical and Optical Properties of Biomass-burning Aerosols and their Impact on Oxidative Potential
Published 2023-08-01“…The average (± SD) indoor PM2.5, OC, EC, BC, and WSOC during cooking using biomass fuels were 1025 ± 1001, 203 ± 196, 140 ± 133, 112 ± 61, and 130 ± 118 µg m−3, respectively, and the corresponding village outdoor levels were ~12.8 (p = 0.04), 4.9 (p = 0.14), 19.8 (p = 0.09), 23.6 (p = 0.01), and 8.1 (p = 0.12) folds (statistical significance of difference) lower, respectively. The volume normalized oxidative potential (DTTv) of PM from biomass cooking was 25.3 nmol DTT min−1 m−3, which was an order of magnitude higher redox active than rural ambient PM. …”

A novel regional forecastable multiscalar standardized drought index (RFMSDI) for regional drought monitoring and assessment
Published 2025-03-01“…The research findings include the following: 1) K-CGMD is a better fitting approach for standardizing RFMSDI and SPI based on reduced BIC values. 2) RFMSDI has superior performance over SPI based on the lower values of RMSE and MAE. 3) Both machine learning and classical methods reveal that RFMSDI outperforms SPI in predicting droughts. 4) SPI shows localized advantages with the ELM training set at 1- and 6-month time scales but RFMSDI offers a more comprehensive and consistent tool for drought prediction, especially when tested on unseen data. …”
