Self-supervised speech representation learning based on positive sample comparison and masking reconstruction by Wenlin ZHANG, Xuepeng LIU, Tong NIU, Qi CHEN, Dan QU

    Published 2022-07-01
“…To solve the problem that existing contrastive prediction based self-supervised speech representation learning methods need to construct a large number of negative samples, and their performance depends on large training batches, requiring a lot of computing resources, a new speech representation learning method based on contrastive learning using only positive samples was proposed.Combined with reconstruction loss, the proposed method could obtain better representation with lower training cost. The proposed method was inspired by the idea of the SimSiam method in image self-supervised representation learning.Using the siamese network architecture, two random augmentations of the input speech signals were processed by the same encoder network, then a feed-forward network was applied on one side, and a stop-gradient operation was applied on the other side. The model was trained to maximize the similarity between two sides.During training processing, negative samples were not required, so small batch size could be used and training efficiency was improved.Experimental results show that the representation model obtained by the new method achieves or exceeds the performance of existing mainstream speech representation learning models in multiple downstream tasks.…”

Experimental Study on Influencing Factors of Resistivity Characteristics of Fully Weathered Soft Rock Packing by LI Sha, YANG Lei, LIU Jie

    Published 2021-01-01
“…In order to study the resistivity characteristics of fully weathered soft rock fillers, laboratory tests with different particle sizes and gradations are carried out to find out the influence of water content, particle size and coarse particle content on the resistivity characteristics of weathered soft rock fillers. The test results show that the larger the particle size and the more the content of coarse particles, the less conductive it is,and the conductivity of the weathered siltstone is slightly lower than that of the weathered argillaceous sandstone. In general, the resistivity decreases with the increase of water content, and the downward trend can be roughly divided into three stages, namely, the rapid decline, the slow decline and the gradual gradual and stable stage. The resistivity of fully weathered argillaceous sandstone filler is related to the content of coarse particles. When the water content is less than 14%,the content of coarse particles has a great influence on the resistivity. The correlation between the soil resistivity and water content is a power index function, and the relationship between the soil resistivity and dry density, water content and coarse particle content is preliminarily revealed, which provides a theoretical basis for the compaction quality detection of fully weathered clay soft rock filler.…”

Modern tests for the selection of children in performance handball by Andreea-Teodora Damaschin, Ștefan Ciobanu

    Published 2024-06-01
“…Thus, the aim of this study is to identify a battery of tests that assess the current essential motor components of female handball players and to verify their level of development in a handball team. The tests used to evaluate the motor skills of handball players were the T-reaction test, which assesses complex reaction speed at the upper limb level, the Squat Jump, CMJ, and FJ tests, which assess the explosive strength ofthe lower limbs, the 4 Jumps test, which evaluates agility and execution speed, and a test to evaluate the strength of the palm flexors. The subjects of the research were 21 amateur female handball players aged 10±1 years who practice handball at an amateur level. We identified a series of tests in the specialized literature that we applied to the subjects of this research, and the results obtained showed a good level of development of the motor qualities evaluated among the athletes, as well as differences between the right and left limbs regarding the strength of the palm flexors.…”
