Elucidation of the mechanism of berberine against gastric mucosa injury in a rat model with chronic atrophic gastritis based on a combined strategy of multi-omics and molecular bio... by Lisheng Chen, Lisheng Chen, Xin Wang, Xin Wang, Jianyu Li, Lijuan Zhang, Wenbin Wu, Shizhang Wei, Wenjun Zou, Yanling Zhao, Yanling Zhao

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Integrating transcriptomics and metabolomics analyses indicated that BBR directly regulated Carnitine C3:0, LPC (0:0/20:3), L-Glutamic Acid and FFA (15:0) by acting on SLC25A20, PNLIPRP1, PLA2G4C, GSR, GFPT2, GCLM, CTPS1, ACSL1, ACOT4 and ACOT2. 16S rRNA sequencing revealed that BBR could restore the balance of gut microbiota dysbiosis by significantly regulating the relative abundance of unclassified_Muribaculaceae and Lactobacillus_johnsonii.ConclusionThis study demonstrated that BBR alleviates CAG through the regulation of the MAPK signaling pathway, metabolic disorders and gut microbiota dysbiosis, thereby revealing the complex mechanism of BBR in relation to alleviating CAG from multiple levels and perspectives.…”

Ruthenium(II) Lipid‐Mimics Drive Lipid Phase Separation to Arouse Autophagy‐Ferroptosis Cascade for Photoimmunotherapy by Yue Zheng, Wen‐Jin Wang, Jing‐Xin Chen, Kun Peng, Xiao‐Xiao Chen, Qing‐Hua Shen, Bing‐Bing Liang, Zong‐Wan Mao, Cai‐Ping Tan

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Meanwhile, the peroxidation of polyunsaturated lipids occurs due to the deactivation of glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) and the overexpression of acyl‐CoA synthetase long‐chain family member 4 (ACSL4), leading to the immunogenic ferroptosis. Ultimately, both innate and adaptive immunity are invigorated, indicating the tremendous antitumor capability of Ru‐LipM in vivo. …”

Comparative Proteomic Analysis of Visceral Adipose Tissue in Morbidly Obese and Normal Weight Chinese Women by Chen Shang, Wei Sun, Chunlin Wang, Xiangqing Wang, Huijuan Zhu, Linjie Wang, Hongbo Yang, Xue Wang, Fengying Gong, Hui Pan

    Published 2019-01-01
“…These altered VAT proteins were involved in the attenuation of the liver X receptor/retinoid X receptor (LXR/RXR) signaling pathway and the activation of the acute-phase response process. Three proteins (ACSL1, HADH, and UCHL1) were validated by western blotting using the same set of VAT samples from 6 morbidly obese and 7 normal weight patients, and the results indicated that the magnitude and direction of the protein changes were in accordance with the proteomic analysis. …”
