Pixel‐wise supervision for presentation attack detection on identity document cards by Raghavendra Mudgalgundurao, Patrick Schuch, Kiran Raja, Raghavendra Ramachandra, Naser Damer

    Published 2022-09-01
“…The baseline benchmark is presented using different handcrafted and deep learning models on a newly constructed in‐house database obtained from an operational system consisting of 886 users with 433 bona fide, 67 print and 366 display attacks. It is demonstrated that the proposed approach achieves better performance compared to handcrafted features and Deep Models with an Equal Error Rate of 2.22% and Bona fide Presentation Classification Error Rate (BPCER) of 1.83% and 1.67% at Attack Presentation Classification Error Rate of 5% and 10%.…”

Biomarkers as Key Contributors in Treating Malignant Melanoma Metastases by Camila Ferreira de Souza, Alice Santana Morais, Miriam Galvonas Jasiulionis

    Published 2012-01-01
“…To illustrate some fascinating insights in this field, the genes BRAFV600E and CTLA4 have been recognized as bona fide targets to benefit melanoma patients. Our research attempts to carefully evaluate data from the literature in order to highlight the link between a molecular disease model and the key contribution of biomarkers in treating malignant melanoma metastases.…”

Local feature encoding for unknown presentation attack detection: An analysis of different local feature descriptors by Lázaro J. González‐Soler, Marta Gomez‐Barrero, Jascha Kolberg, Leonardo Chang, Airel Pérez‐Suárez, Christoph Busch

    Published 2021-07-01
“…The experimental results over unknown scenarios taken from LivDet 2011 to LivDet 2017 show that our proposal reduces the top state‐of‐the‐art average classification error rates by up to four times, thereby making it suitable in real applications demanding high security. …”

Overexpression of miR-124 enhances the therapeutic benefit of TMZ treatment in the orthotopic GBM mice model by inhibition of DNA damage repair by Yuchen Wei, Peng Wang, Jianhui Zhao, Xin Fan, Jun Jiang, Xiuli Mu, Yuzhou Wang, Angang Yang, Rui Zhang, Shijie Hu, Zhangyan Guo

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Among them, a high level of miR-124 is closely associated with a favorable survival rate in the clinical patients. In the phenotype experiment, we demonstrated that miR-124 overexpression increases responsiveness of GBM cells to TMZ-induced cell death, and vice versa. …”
