    “…Les réflexions de Judith Butler (2014) sur la vie bonne permettent de soutenir qu’une vie sobre ne peut idéalement se concevoir que par la délibération entre égaux, dans une société où chaque collectivité : d’une part, prend conscience de ses propres vulnérabilités (environnementales et sociales) ; d’autre part, reconnaît sa part de responsabilité dans la production de ces vulnérabilités ; et enfin, décide d’agir, de façon solidaire, pour les réduire. Parmi les facteurs permettant d’identifier les vulnérabilités et leur inégale distribution, le travail joue un rôle clé.Nous poserons qu’un travail peut être dit sobre s’il respecte les conditions suivantes : 1) les travailleurs participent aux décisions concernant leur production et l’organisation de leur activité ; 2) celles-ci répondent à l’intérêt général ; 3) ils prennent en compte l’impératif de limiter les empreintes de leurs activités ; 4) les évolutions du droit du travail rendent pérenne cette configuration.Pour tester la pertinence de ce cadre d’analyse, nous mobilisons les résultats d’une étude empirique portant sur des travailleurs « engagés » du numérique : a) les premiers ont mis en oeuvre des projets/organisations de plateformes coopératives numériques ; b) les seconds, salariés d’une multinationale, essayent, dans leurs pratiques quotidiennes, de mener des activités sobres. …”
