Investigating the intrinsic top-down dynamics of deep generative models by Lorenzo Tausani, Alberto Testolin, Marco Zorzi

    Published 2025-01-01
“…This capability can be linked to current theories in computational neuroscience, which propose that spontaneous brain activity at rest is the manifestation of top-down dynamics of generative models detached from action-perception cycles. …”

Altered Toll-Like Receptor Signalling in Children with Down Syndrome by Dean Huggard, W. J. Koay, Lynne Kelly, Fiona McGrane, Emer Ryan, Niamh Lagan, Edna Roche, Joanne Balfe, T. Ronan Leahy, Orla Franklin, Ana Moreno-Oliveira, Ashanty M. Melo, Derek G. Doherty, Eleanor J. Molloy

    Published 2019-01-01
“…TLR2 is crucial in recognising lipopeptides from gram-positive bacteria and is implicated in chronic inflammation. Children with Down syndrome (DS) are prone to infections from these pathogens and have an increased risk of autoimmunity. …”

Differential Measurement for Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy with Dynamic Allan Variance by Zeqiang Mo, Jin Yu, Jinduo Wang, Jianguo He, Shoujun Dai, Yang Liu

    Published 2020-01-01
“…The method of dynamic Allan variance (DAVAR) is used to analyze the time-varying characteristics of a nonstationary signal and is thus incorporated to evaluate the random error in the cavity ring-down spectroscopy (CRDS) experiments. With the numerical simulation of the influence of instabilities of sudden, slow, or periodic changes on the measurement accuracy in the ring-down process, DAVAR is proved to be an effective way to evaluate random error characteristics in an interfering environment. …”

Mediator kinase inhibition suppresses hyperactive interferon signaling in Down syndrome by Kira A Cozzolino, Lynn Sanford, Samuel Hunter, Kayla Molison, Benjamin Erickson, Meaghan CS Courvan, Taylor Jones, Deepa Ajit, Matthew D Galbraith, Joaquín M Espinosa, David Bentley, Mary Ann Allen, Robin D Dowell, Dylan J Taatjes

    Published 2025-02-01
“…Hyperactive interferon (IFN) signaling is a hallmark of Down syndrome (DS), a condition caused by Trisomy 21 (T21); strategies that normalize IFN signaling could benefit this population. …”

One-way hash function with chaotic dynamic parameters by GUO Wei1, CAO Yang1, WANG Xiao-min2, HE Da-ke1

    Published 2008-01-01
“…A novel keyed one-way hash function based on chaotic dynamic parameters was presented which combines the advantage of both chaotic system and conventional one-way hash function. In the proposed approach the fixed parameters of conventional hash function is replaced by chaotic dynamic parameters.Compared with the existing chaotic hash func-tions,the new method takes conventional hash function as essential part of iteration instead of using the message blocks directly in chaotic iteration, thus improves the security of hash function and avoids bringing down system performance at the same time.Theoretical and experimental results show that the proposed method has high performance, strong one way property, large key space, sensitivity to initial conditions and chaotic system’s parameters.…”

Characteristics of Flow Development and Boiling Transitions in the Liquid Oxygen Chill-Down Process in a Straight Horizontal Exit-Contracted Pipe by Lanwei Chen, Jiaqi Zhang

    Published 2023-01-01
“…The effect of the entrance corner was excluded, and much denser wall temperature sensors along the pipe have been set compared to the present studies. In this way, the chill-down process, as well as the development of the flow pattern, has been drawn for every test. …”

    Published 2025-01-01
“…These results imply that, in the absence of major tidal interactions, physical processes must cooperate so that Σ _H _i distributes in a self-similar way in the outer region down to the 0.01 M _⊙ pc ^−2 level. …”
