Bioluminescence Imaging of Gene Expression in Utero by Meera T. Saxena, Sara J. Aton, Charles Hildebolt, Julie L. Prior, Ute Abraham, David Piwnica-Worms, Erik D. Herzog

    Published 2007-01-01
“…We found that bioluminescence was specific to transgenic pups, increased dramatically on embryonic day 10 (10 days after successful mating), and continued to increase logarithmically until birth. Diurnal fluctuations in Per1 expression were apparent several days prior to birth. …”

Thermal Modeling of Oxia Planum: Thermophysical Characterization of the Dark Resistant Unit (DRU) in the Germania Lacus by M. Formisano, F. Altieri, A. Frigeri, M. C. De Sanctis, C. Federico, G. Magni, E. Ammannito, S. De Angelis, M. Ferrari

    Published 2023-01-01
“…The numerical model developed here represents a follow-up of the work recently published by Formisano et al. 2021, and it takes into account a large-scale topography of the site and assumes a diurnal temperature profile for the atmosphere rather than a constant value (unlike Formisano et al. 2021). …”

The Dissenting Nights of the Neo-Wood Colliers of the Vercors: A Forest Chronotope for a Heterotopia by Christophe Baticle, Philippe Hanus

    Published 2018-04-01
“…The chronotope thus set up therefore borrows from heterotopia and heterochrony insofar as the diurnal and especially nocturnal forest system constitutes “another space” in an atypical way of living the rhythms of daily life in connection (fantasised to a greater or lesser degree) with the History of the Vercors region. …”

Analysis of Temporal and Spatial Variation of Tidal Wave Characteristics in Macao under the Influence of Reclamation by WANG Renchao, ZHANG Gongjin

    Published 2023-01-01
“…With the historical tidal level data, this paper analyzes the temporal and spatial variation characteristics of tidal constituents and the influence of reclamation intensity on tidal level variation in the Macao sea area over the years. The results indicate that the waters near the Macao station show irregular semidiurnal tides, and the tidal wave deformation is significant over the years and fluctuates in different periods. The value of HS2/HM2 at the Macao station fluctuates around 0.4 over the years, which reflects that the diurnal variation of tide height at the Macao station is significantly influenced by time. The empirical orthogonal function (EOF) method is used to discuss the long-series tidal level change at the Macao station. The variance contribution rate of the first characteristic vector is 79%,and it is a typical combination of tidal constituent amplitudes.According to the correlation analysis between the first characteristic vector and the reclamation strength of the Macao sea area, the correlation coefficient is 84%,which manifests that the reclamation project of Macao is the main influencing factor leading to the tidal wave deformation of the Macao sea area.…”

Predicting current and future potential habitat distribution of fig tree (Ficus-Carica) in Morocco using Maxent Modeling by amal labaioui, Rachid Razouk, Lahcen HSSAINI

    Published 2024-09-01
“…The results show that the environmental variables that most impact the distribution of the fig tree in Morocco are the precipitation of the coldest quarter (bio 19) the mean diurnal deviation (bio2) and the isothermality (bio3) and that fig tree area will decrease under the impact of climate change and will be limited to the North of Morocco mainly in the provinces of El Hoceima and Chefchaoun. …”
