Efficient Removal of Methylene Blue from Aqueous Solution by Adsorption of Ceramic-Based Composite DBPC@HKUST-1 by FENG Yanzhao, WU Yixiong, CHEN Xinhong

    Published 2022-01-01
“…HKUST-1 crystals with excellent properties are grown in situ on low-cost and high-stability diatomite-based porous ceramic (DBPC) by the non-uniform nucleation growth method. The successful preparation of the composite DBPC@HKUST-1 is verified by XRD,FTIR,and SEM characterization. At the same time, the adsorption performance of DBPC@HKUST-1 for methylene blue (MB) is studied, and the adsorption kinetics, adsorption isotherm, adsorption thermodynamics and the influence of pH are analyzed. The results show that the adsorption behavior is consistent with the quasi-second-order kinetic model and Freundlich isothermal model. The maximum adsorption capacity of DBPC@HKUST-1 for MB is 378.788 mg/g.The adsorption thermodynamics indicates that the adsorption behavior is a spontaneous exothermic reaction.Therefore,DBPC@HKUST-1,as a cheap green adsorbent,is expected to be the best candidate material for the treatment of organic dye wastewater in the future industry.…”

Fortilin binds CTNNA3 and protects it against phosphorylation, ubiquitination, and proteasomal degradation to guard cells against apoptosis by Mari Nakashima, Decha Pinkaew, Uttariya Pal, Fei Miyao, Hanna Huynh, Lena Tanaka, Ken Fujise

    Published 2025-01-01
“…The silencing of fortilin using small interfering RNA (siRNAfortilin) promotes the proteasome-mediated degradation of CTNNA3 in 293T cells. Using both fortilin-deficient THP1 cells and 293T cells that overexpress wild-type (WT), phospho-null (5A), and phospho-mimetic (5D) CTNNA3s, we also show that the absence of fortilin accelerates the phosphorylation of CTNNA3, leading to its ubiquitination and proteasome-mediated degradation. …”

Production and decay of anticharmed pentaquark state with quark content $$\bar{c}sudd$$ c ¯ s u d d by Shi-Dong Liu, Xiao-Yun Wang, Xiao-Hai Liu, Gang Li

    Published 2025-01-01
    “…Abstract We use an effective Lagrangian approach to investigate the production of the anticharmed pentaquark state $$P_{\bar{c}s}^{(*)-}$$ P c ¯ s ( ∗ ) - with the minimal quark content $$\bar{c}sudd$$ c ¯ s u d d in the $$\Lambda _b^0$$ Λ b 0 decay. In our calculation, the $$P_{\bar{c}s}^{(*)-}$$ P c ¯ s ( ∗ ) - is considered as the molecule state of the $$nD_{s0(s1)}^{-}$$ n D s 0 ( s 1 ) - in an S wave, and its production and decay occur via triangle loops at the hadron level. …”
