Deep learning based tractography with TractSeg in patients with hemispherotomy: Evaluation and refinement
Published 2025-01-01“…However, to our knowledge, we are the first to document cases in which TractSeg erroneously reconstructs (“hallucinates”) tracts that are known to have been surgically disconnected, and we found cases in which it implausibly continues tracts through obvious lesions. At the same time, TractSeg failed to reconstruct or undersegmented some tracts that are known to be preserved. We subsequently propose a refinement of TractSeg which aims to improve its applicability to data with pathologies, by using its Tract Orientation Maps as an anatomical prior in low-rank tensor approximation based tractography such that tracking is guaranteed to continue only where presence of the tract is directly supported by the data (“data fidelity”). …”

Published 2025-02-01“…To elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying southern blight resistance, we performed an integrated analysis of transcriptomic and metabolomic profiles across three infection stages of A. albus. Results and discussionHere, we assembled and annotated the complete genome of A. albus, providing a chromosome-level assembly with a total genome size of 5.94 Gb and a contig N50 of 5.61 Mb. The A. albus genome comprised 19,908 gene families, including 467 unique families. The slightly larger genome size of A. albus compared to A. konjac may have been affected by a recent whole-genome duplication event. …”

Prediction of drought-flood prone zones in inland mountainous regions under climate change with assessment and enhancement strategies for disaster resilience in high-standard farml...
Published 2025-03-01“…The overall findings indicate that: (1) Precipitation (Pr) and the Standardized Precipitation-Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI) have increased in recent years, with Pr expected to continue rising until 2035. (2) The integration of historical data with the predictions from the PSO-LSTM-GAT model reveals significant spatial overlap between historical and future disaster-prone areas and intensive cropland, especially in the central region. (3) Compared to single models, the PSO-LSTM-GAT model demonstrates significantly improved performance and precision in predicting drought- and flood-prone areas. (4) Through the FDRA integrated adjustment mechanism, 6.6668 km² of unsuitable land was identified, and 6.7349 km² of high-quality land was selected as the proposed site for the next round of HSF projects. …”
