Investigation on the Hydrothermal Condition in Synthesis of Active Matrix from Metakaolin: Physicochemical Properties and Intrinsic Cracking Activities by Farhansyah Yusuf Putra Hudaya, Rezky Oktaviandy Anggaswara, Melia Laniwati Gunawan, Grandprix Thomryes Marth Kadja, I. G. B. N. Makertihartha

    Published 2024-10-01
“…The experimental variables that were varied were hydrothermal temperature, in the range of 80 to 110 °C, and hydrothermal time, in the range of 12 to 72 hours, to investigate the best conditions for synthesising the active matrix. Subsequently, the active matrix was subjected to a series of analyses, including X-ray fluorescence, X-ray diffraction, N2 physisorption, NH3-temperature programmed desorption, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and thermogravimetry, with the objective of determining its composition, crystal characteristics, surface characteristics, acidity, functional groups, material structure, and thermal characteristics. …”

Study on the Method for Measuring Stress on Rock Mass Excavation Surface under Extremely High Stress Conditions by Kai Ai, Xinhui Zhang, Chao Zhou

    Published 2022-01-01
“…In view of the limitations of several existing stress measurement methods under extremely high stress conditions (stress−strength ratio σ/Rc>0.5), this paper proposes a slot relief method based on partial deformation recovery to measure rock mass surface stress under extremely high stress conditions and justifies its viability with the help of an infinite element model. …”

Contrast of Image of an Object Observed in Smoke Conditions using Polarizing Filtering of Radiation Scattered by Smoke Particles by A. I. Kitsak

    Published 2020-09-01
“…Prospects for developing optical accessories for firefighters to improve the observation of objects in smoke were evaluated by comparing image contrasts. The goal was achieved by experimentally simulating the process of transmitting images of a blackandwhite object with a sharp black/white transition boundary through various types of smoke aerosols using polarizing filtering of radiation scattered by smoke particles, and without filtering and evaluating image contrasts.Studies of image contrasts for different optical densities of smoke in two registration schemes were performed, when the receiving optical system is located near the illumination source of the object at a distance of ≈ 150 mm from it, and when it is located at a distance from the illumination source of the object at a distance of ≈ 800 mm.It is established that the method of forming the image of the object using polarization filtering of radiation backscattering (RBS) reduces the rate of image contrast reduction with an increase in optical smoke density compared to image registration without filtering (RBS).A significant difference in the contrasts of images recorded with filtration (RBS) and in the absence of it is observed for "light" fumes (smoldering of wood, cotton) at average optical densities of smoke. The results obtained can be used in the development of optical accessories for firefighter-rescuer to improve the conditions of observation of objects in adverse conditions of vision: smoke, vaporization, fog.…”

Optimization of Fermentation Conditions for Increasing Erucamide Content in <i>Bacillus megaterium</i> Using Several Accelerants by Hao Zhao, Yudan Xie, Zhu Li, Longfeng Wei, Renli Ai

    Published 2025-01-01
“…This study aims to improve the ability of <i>B. megaterium</i> L2 to produce erucamide by adding various accelerants to optimize the fermentation conditions. Univariate and orthogonal tests showed that 0.3% Tween 80, 0.004% Ca2+, 0.04% colza oil, and 0.02% chloroform were the best regulation conditions for erucamide production of the L2 strain, and erucamide content reached 1.778 mg/L, which was 32.59% higher than the blank group and 60.26% higher than before fermentation culture. …”
