Effects of practical models of low-volume high-intensity interval training on glycemic control and insulin resistance in adults: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized... by Yining Lu, Julien S. Baker, Shanshan Ying, Yichen Lu

    Published 2025-01-01
“…The inclusion criteria required glucose and insulin resistance markers to be evaluated pre- and post-intervention among adults who were not trained athletes.ResultsAs a result, twenty studies were included, and meta-analyses were conducted using sixteen studies employing HIIT protocols. Compared with CON, LV-HIIT with reduced intensity and extended interval duration significantly improved fasting glucose (FPG) (mean difference (MD) in mg/dL=-16.63; 95% confidence interval (CI): -25.30 to -7.96; p<0.001) and HbA1c (MD=-0.70; 95% CI: -1.10 to -0.29; p<0.001). …”

NH3 release during the snow evaporation process in typical cities in Northeast China by Xiaoteng Liu, Hongsheng Jia, Yunze Zhao, Yachao Zhang, Haodong Hou, Yingying Xu

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Significant variations in R were observed across multiple functional areas, which were ranked in descending order as follows: commercial areas (R = 26.16%), residential areas (R = 22.01%), cultural and educational areas (R = 20.7%), and industrial areas (R = 18.01%). The influence of a snow-melting agent (NaCl) on the conversion rate of NH3 initially increased but then subsequently decreased as the dose increased. …”
