Considering risk associated with leisure time physical activity (LTPA) at craft breweries: overlooking dangers in the name of fun by Alana N Seaman, Lindsey Schroeder, Madison Peace, Michele Abee, Laura Morris

    Published 2024-09-01
“…Many breweries in the US have become popular settings for leisure time physical activity (LTPA). While risk is widely accepted as an inherent part of sport and physical activity (PA), breweries are places of increased risk due to the nature of their hospitality- and beer production-focused environments. …”

Power flow analysis and volt/var control strategy of the active distribution network based on data-driven method by Chen Hui, Zhu Weiping, Liu Liguo, Shi Mingming, Xie Wenqiang, Zhang Chenyu

    Published 2025-01-01
“…In this paper, a data-driven power flow analysis and the volt/var optimization control strategy for the distribution network are proposed. Firstly, the CatBoost machine learning model for the distribution network power flow analysis is proposed, and the nonlinear mapping relationship between the distribution network state and power flow results is described from the data-driven perspective. …”

    Published 2024-10-01
“…Using the 6 <span class="inline-formula">min</span> time resolution PINE data, we present several lines of evidence that INPs below <span class="inline-formula">−</span>24 <span class="inline-formula">°C</span> in this location are also from biological sources: (i) an INP parameterization developed for a pine forest site in Colorado, where many INPs were shown to be biological, produced a good fit to our measurements; a moderate correlation of INPs with aerosol concentration larger than 0.5 <span class="inline-formula">µm</span> and the fluorescent bioaerosol concentration; (ii) a negative correlation with relative humidity that may relate to enhanced release of bioaerosol at low humidity from local sources such as the prolific lichen population in boreal forests; and (iii) the absence of correlation with ultra-fine particles (3.5 to 50 <span class="inline-formula">nm</span>), indicating that new particle formation events are not sources of INPs. …”
