Assessing the neuroprotective potential of Eucalyptus globulus essential oil in a 6-hydroxydopamine rat model of Parkinson's disease
Published 2025-03-01“…Results: Our findings indicate that EuEO is mainly composed of 1,8-cineole (81.8 %) and that, in the parkinsonian rats, it improved impairments in spatial memory, motor performance, and strength; increased TH and DAT protein content; decreased TNF-α expression; diminished liver lipid content and body weight gain without changes in the rats’ food/water consumption or their serum lipid levels; diminished transaminase and alkaline phosphatase activity, and the albumin/globulin ratio. Discussion: Although 1,8-cineole is a well-documented bioactive compound, further research is required to evaluate its potential synergistic or additive interactions with minor components. …”

Transcriptomic reprogramming and epigenetic regulation underlying pollination-dependent and auxin-induced fruit set in tomato
Published 2025-02-01“…In contrast, Teosinte branched1/Cincinnata/proliferating cell factor (TCP), SQUAMOSA -promoter binding proteins (SBP), Sucrose nonfermenting 2 (SNF2), Growth-regulating factor (GRF), and Su (var)3-9, Enhancer-of-zeste and Trithorax (SET) family genes were significantly upregulated in both pollinated and auxin-treated young developing fruits, suggesting their active roles in promoting fruit sets. Despite these similarities, a comparative analysis of the effects of natural pollination and auxin treatment revealed several differences, primarily related to seed development and hormone signaling. …”
