Mitochondrial Gene Expression of Three Different Dragonflies Under the Stress of Chlorpyrifos by Yuxin Chen, Ziwen Yang, Zhiqiang Guo, Lemei Zhan, Kenneth B. Storey, Danna Yu, Jiayong Zhang

    Published 2025-01-01
    “…The present study quantified the transcript levels of mitochondria protein-coding genes (mtPCGs) using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (<i>RT-qPCR</i>) in samples of larvae of three dragonfly species (<i>A. parthenope</i>, <i>E. elegans</i>, and <i>G. confluens</i>) under different levels of CPF stress. By exposing larvae from uncontaminated populations to 0.05 μg/L CPF for 24 h, the transcript levels of seven mtPCGs in <i>A. parthenope</i> were significantly increased (<i>p</i> < 0.05) by 1.89 ± 0.42-fold for <i>COI</i>, 4.30 ± 0.24-fold for <i>COIII</i>, 5.94 ± 0.17-fold for <i>ND1</i>, 4.69 ± 0.56-fold for <i>ND2</i>, 3.44 ± 0.48-fold for <i>ND4</i>, 2.19 ± 0.53-fold for <i>ND4L</i>, and 5.05 ± 0.36-fold for <i>Cytb</i>, respectively. …”

Dynamic Behavior of Coal Pillar under Different Load Percentage by Numerical Simulation by Guo-Wei Dong, Hai-Yang Liu, Guang-an Zhu

    Published 2021-01-01
“…The effects of dynamic disturbance intensity are also studied at 10 MPa, 20 MPa, and 30 MPa of peak stress, respectively. The results indicate that under the same load percentage, the peak incident and transmitted wave stress increase with the increase of dynamic disturbance intensity. …”

An Experimental Study on Cracking Behavior of Precracked Sandstone Specimens under Seepage Pressure by Qibin Lin, Ping Cao, Hua Wang, Rihong Cao

    Published 2018-01-01
“…Under seepage pressure, the typical failure features of the specimens varied with the fissure angles: the specimens with small fissure angles (i.e., [0°,30°]) mainly underwent tensile failure; those with medium fissure angles (i.e., [30°,60°]) suffered from shear failure; and those with large fissure angles (i.e., [60°,75°]) were prone to tensile-shear failure.…”
