The Application of Enhanced Depth Imaging Spectral-Domain Optical Coherence Tomography in Macular Diseases
Published 2020-01-01“…Enhanced depth imaging in spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (EDI SD-OCT) uses a closer scanning position to the eye to create an inverted SD-OCT image with the advantage of better depth sensitivity, which can observe choroidal structure and measure choroidal thickness (CT) accurately. …”

Phase-dependent Hanbury-Brown and Twiss effect for the complete measurement of the complex coherence function
Published 2025-01-01“…With the freely available coherent state serving as the reference field, we experimentally demonstrate the phase sensitive two-photon interference effect when the input fields are thermal fields in either continuous wave or non-stationary pulsed wave and measure the complete complex second-order coherence function of the input fields without bringing them together from separate locations. …”

Finite Element Analysis of Top Cover Bolts of Hydraulic Turbine Based on ANSYS Workbench
Published 2021-01-01“…The working conditions of the hydraulic turbine are frequently changed. If the connecting bolts between the top cover and the stay ring are subjected to a load, and they are loose or broken, the serious consequences such as the plant flooding and even the machine destruction and death may occur. This paper establishes the calculation model of the connecting bolts between the top cover and the stay ring of hydraulic turbine by the ANSYS Workbench software, and calculates and analyzes the maximum stress of connecting bolts and the position of the dangerous section under different load rejection conditions by the finite element analysis method. The calculation results show that:when the load rejection is 82.5 MW,the stress on the connecting bolts is the largest. Therefore, the ultrasonic online monitoring and early warning system shall be applied to monitor the most dangerous bolts in real time to prevent accidents.…”

The politics of gating (A response to Private Security and Public Space by Manzi and Smith-Bowers)
Published 2008-05-01“…In a recent paper in this journal, Tony Manzi and Bill Smith-Bowers (2006) attempt to provide what they see as a more subtle approach to these developments, arguing, by way of a critique of some of my earlier work (centrally that of Atkinson and Blandy, 2005), that hostility to gated communities is misplaced on several grounds. …”
